June 10, 201313 yr Unless those 23 runs came from 1 or 2 pitchers it doesn't really seem like a Dusty fault, as is just a pitching problem right now. Thank you. I am glad someone else made that comment because coming from me, people would discount it as me being a Dusty apologist. The only relief pitcher who pitched well for the Reds was Chapman. Broxton was a hair away from blowing up again. Where do you turn to if you are Dusty? He moves LeCure up the hierarchy and he goes south. Is there anyone in the Reds' bullpen you trust right now besides Chapman?
June 10, 201313 yr Same record at this point of the season as last year according to twitter. It's wrong. This date last year the Reds were 32-26, this year they are 37-26. They got to 37 wins on June 16th (37-27) Unless I miscounted (which I don't think I did) after 63 games last year the Reds were 36-27 where as this year they are 37-26 so we are actually one game better this year at this point of the season.

However, if anyone will look objectively at the Reds roster and compare it to the Cardinals Roster, it is not close who has the better team. C-Cardinals 1B- Reds 2B - Reds SS - Cardinals 3B - Cardinals LF - Cardinals CF - Reds RF - Toss UP Bench - Cardinals (Not even close!) SP - Tie RP - Cardinals - We couldn't touch their pen last night! We are in trouble. In a long season, we will be ok because of our starting pitching. That will keep us from having long losing streaks. However, in a short series we can't beat them. They have a better bullpen and they hit better. They work counts and our professional hitters.
