June 6, 201313 yr Do you enjoy 30 cent jumps then a 2-5 cent reduction every 5 days? Why does it matter what I enjoy? I don't enjoy Mercedes selling their cars for $70k but I'm not looking for someone to police them.
June 6, 201313 yr Why does it matter what I enjoy? I don't enjoy Mercedes selling their cars for $70k but I'm not looking for someone to police them. Does 90% of the population have to buy Mercedes in order to get to work or school or whatever?

June 6, 201313 yr Because your Clizzy and we all want to be you.He is a big stock market tycoon yet complaining about a 70k Mercedes (I hear the new Ft Mitchell Mercedes store is being built for him, lol). Speaking of the market. Apple is down to 437 today.
June 6, 201313 yr Does 90% of the population have to buy Mercedes in order to get to work or school or whatever? Ride a bus. Rideshare. Get a car with better MPG. Move closer to your job. We don't need some agency deciding what price we pay for gas. That's crazy.

Aint no busses out here in the sticks. Could ride a horse, but in todays society thats animal cruelty, so what other options you got.
June 6, 201313 yr But it's all of you people buying old cars with horrible gas milage that is making it worse. My old car gets better gas mileage than my old SUV did. By far.
June 6, 201313 yr My old car gets better gas mileage than my old SUV did. By far. What about your new SUV? A new Equinox gets 32.
June 6, 201313 yr I disagree. I just bought a brand new car because I'm 24 and the one I've had since I started driving (it was used when I got it) was at the end of it's life. I ended up getting a better deal (and MPG) on the brand new car than on some of the 20k-30k mile cars I looked at. Plus I want to start looking to get a house here in the next few years and I don't want to have to go out and get a new car when I'm paying a mortgage. And I still worry about gas prices. Everybody is different. The day I buy a new car will be the last day I worry about gas prices.
June 6, 201313 yr What about your new SUV? A new Equinox gets 32. I've never bought a new car before and if I did it wouldn't be an Equinox.
June 6, 201313 yr Ride a bus. Rideshare. Get a car with better MPG. Move closer to your job. We don't need some agency deciding what price we pay for gas. That's crazy. Not everybody has a choice to do some of those things

My post was more to point out that your example was silly. What I do think we need is better oversight to make sure the oil companies are playing fair.
