June 16, 201313 yr I doubt SSA's are leasing. 3.24 in Carrollton yesterday Drive through Carrollton today. Swifty had it for $3.24, but the Speedway three blocks away was at $3.32. The last station before leaving town toward Warsaw had it for $3.49.

June 16, 201313 yr More demand. Higher rent. Clyde your statement doesn't really make much sense. How is it that the gas on Buttermilk Pike and 71/75 is as much as 15-19 cents higher than on Burlington Pike or US 42 and 71/75? For those not from NKy the three exits are all around five to six miles apart all directly off of 71/75. I can guarantee you that due to the industry, the Florence Mall, restaurants and such not to mention the fact that the busiest road in NKy is route 18 off of 71/75 that if your statement were correct of higher demand, higher rent those location would be much higher in gas prices. Frankly I don't purchase anything from any of those stations on Buttermilk as I believe they are ripping off the consumers big time
June 17, 201313 yr Went to Frankfort and Lexington this weekend... Gas is anywhere from 20-30 cheaper in those places than it is in Louisville. Saw a difference for 40! cents in one spot. Makes no sense to me.

Makes no sense to me. Louisville has to use a different formulation of gas on account out the EPA which ends up being more expensive. This formulation is used only during the hottest months of the year.

If that's the case, it's worth it for me to drive 20 miles to Simpsonville to get gas and back. That is ridiculous the difference in price.
June 17, 201313 yr Saw it for $3.79 in Warsaw, Dry Ridge and Williamstown today. From $3.49-3.69 in Lex, and from $3.35-3.58 in Frankfort. Lawrenceburg is firm at $3.49, and it's still that over here in Bardstown.
June 18, 201313 yr I thought global warming was global? Has to do with the Ohio valley and air quality.
June 18, 201313 yr If that's the case, it's worth it for me to drive 20 miles to Simpsonville to get gas and back. That is ridiculous the difference in price. My job takes me between Louisville and Lexington many times a week. I usually gas up between the two. Better pricing.
June 18, 201313 yr Just got back from a trip to NC and Tenn. I was paying $3.14 - $3.25 for gas. Amazing the drop once you get out of the NKY area as well.
June 19, 201313 yr Oil up to almost 99 bucks a pop The feds putting 85 million into the economy each much continues to help oil and gas go up, while the blind really think the economy is recovering.
June 19, 201313 yr Crude oil supply is up this week by 0.08%. Gas prices down nationally to an average of $3.62 .
