I think you could be right. However, it's really hard to tell until we see them scrimmage or play a game. I will say that they could easily start 2-0 but would not be stunned if it was 0-2.

Why did you ask me the same question three times? I don't think being a dad precludes him from being realistic. He is a good buddy, and he isn't one who normally falls victim to overstatement. Therefore, I wonder what I'm missing.

Yes, apparently you are crazy.

Going in to any season, you expect the best from your team.

CCH has every reason to expect a strong season.

No one is going to not play the games.

You are entitled to think that 5-5 is the best they will do.

And then the games will be played.

 

I guess the players should go into the season expecting to go .500 on the year.

They should probably back out of the Moeller and Highlands games now, and then not even bother with the trip to Henderson County. Probably need to forfeit the Holmes and Harrison County games as well.

Honestly, from the peeps I know over here in the "Hills", they are telling me the same. Sounds like CCH is almost back to their glory days. Is this their year? You know the kids and coaches believe it and it sounds like the parents are buying it too. CCH will get back to the top at some point, probably sooner than later. I'm hoping later. LOL! Glad to see them competing on a high level again. Can't wait for the season to get started. Going to be a fun year.

I think Moeller and Highlands are very challenging. At Henderson Co will be very difficult. Conner will be a shootout, but the Cougars will have the best player in the game by a wide margin. That is 4 I think will be uphill climbs. Then you mix in Beechwood on very short rest and coming off their rivalry game with HHS. Boone and their new system is a wildcard, and Dixie has a very talented QB who should thrive in year 2. Mix in the rumored injury to arguably their best player (and apparent team leader) Burchell, and I'm just not sure this is the year.

In every other game, Covington Catholic is the favorite to win. They may lose one of those they are favored in, but I doubt it. If they aren't at least 6-4, I will be very surprised.
