7th grader fbu camp started for the Kentucky team against tenn. in the border war game.

8th grader- Ky-all state, hand picked for the FBU Kentucky national team- started as safety - team went to 3rd in the nation. picked off 3 passes scored once. (brand new position)Freshman 1400 yards or so 20 Td's.

Seen him in practice with the varsity and you cant tell he's not a junior or senior.

For you whom do not know him what's the downside? Anyone who does know him thinks otherwise. That's why you get such a strong reaction when you blast him. We know. I Think any coach would love to have this kid. He'd be on the field somewhere.

HAHAH wow well I just read most of the comments about the colin england kid....OK number one stop hating the boy can play 2 if the kid wants to put his highlights on youtube so what good for him. 3 how do most of you figure that freshman teams arent built to stop a 6 2 kid everyone has size nowa days this isnt the 70s Now yeah he does run to high but even though he ran that high he ran over most of your schools and to say he wont be any good becuse hes only a freshman is bs hes s freshman so he played freshman ball. And umm so a coach wont think much of freshman highlights huh...wow some of you dont get it if your a SMART VARSITY COACH YOU WOULD CHECK THEM out because your gonna be coaching the kid one day and you can see what he can do and what you can do to improve him. He didnt grow up running the ball so as time goes on he will learn to lower his pad level that comes with experience. But whatever position he ends up playing he is good and has been playing since he was young and yes he would be a good ball player for any team in the nky area period.

The name of the thread was the future looks bright. It's about young promising players. I posted his accomplishments to show that he has been a good player as a counterpoint to those who thought otherwise. He's going to be a sophomore, not 7Th grader, And the kid has a bright future. Everyone is pessimistic because he already has achieved a high level of success at his current level. YOU guys act like its a precursor for failure. If this kid was at Highlands or Beechwood and was this good you guys would only tout his athletic ability. NO one on this thread has any reason to doubt the kid can play. He has been DOMINATE at his age group. One of the best YOUNG athletes in nky and has the numbers, and proved it on the field. I seen all the games he played in last year and I didn't see any other RB's on the field from anyone who looked even near as impressive. To say he doesn't have a future by arguing with me is ridiculous. But in the end, have fun eating crow and remember I told you so. No one Blasted any of the other kids mentioned. Ryle has a good player and he will get better in time. Get over it. He has every coach's respect that played against him. You don't have to respect that fact, but you are way off base and have no argument against the facts.

The only point I will disagree with you on is when you said no other freshmen running back looked nearly as good, I can say with certainty that the Stringer kid from BW was every bit his equal, and if you saw the Championship game you will confirm. Other than that the England kid is very talented and if he continues along he will ascend to great heights.

I think what has struck some people funny is he was previously touted as the best RB in the state, even before he has taken a varsity snap.

 

Memories are pretty good among BGP'ers

Beechwood has the following Sophs who should play and contribute on Friday nights, Fieger QB, Combs OL, Stringer RB, Slusher WR, Bankamper LB. They all played a significant role in BW's Frosh undefeated / championship season and hopefully will contribute the same this upcoming season.

Only thing I am worried about with this is if Cole decides to quit. Also, Decker Schwarts has quit football. That's a real shame considering he was the cream of the crop. But anyway back to Cole and the Frosh. Cole may be quitting after this year to pursue his basketball dreams. I wish him the best in whatever he chooses. Alex Shelton is practicing with varsity and also working out with the big boys regularly and I think this will help him and the entire Frosh team because Alex can bring down some of his " experiences" down with him. Shelton is probably the biggest leader on this team, so if Cole decides to turn away from football I think Alex will still lead the team with no trouble. This Frosh group has the talent and the potential to be really good. They need to workout with the o line and this team will look good.

If this team gets the o line to where they want it, and everybody is clicking, I honestly believe this can be the class that beats Highlands all four years and even bring home some titles.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves and let's see how they perform this year in high school ball.

I've talked to Warner. So he was defended because of the criticizing. The facts were presented and now everyone is up in arms and the whole thread has changed. Show me another freshman last year who produced those type of numbers. And I don't want to hear that crap about our school doesn't care about freshman football. Then they wouldn't have it. It was a development year and he did great. In the minors you succeed and show you can play at a high level you get called up right? 1400 yards from scrimmage. 20 td's and three or four games he sat the second half or 4th quarter out! He'll play and might start varsity this year and we'll see if he's up to the task. So far its been fun watching him and his team play. They beat the crap out of everybody except Beechwood ( who played great and had an excellent game plan ). We're excited about the young talent we have and he's not the only one. Just so you can follow the facts the bashing started before any of that was posted. That was in response to the negativity. But I respect you opinion as you should mine. Unless you know something about our kids in our program that I don't, get me some facts instead of you opinion. I produced some, where's yours?

Really????? They defeated Highlands in overtime in a game in which they trailed the entire game until overtime. Yes they won, but dominated no. Who keeps stats for a kid in frosh football? I know one place where they don't and unless I wanted to take the time to go back, look and count it would be tough for me to determine. Kid was a nice player, but I am not even sure he is/was the best in Northern Kentucky last year from all of the games that I saw.

I think he will have a very good career at the varsity level.

Well, I can agree that would be an outlandish statement. But I don't think anyone has a leg to stand on that the kids not good and should be a stud. That was an old thread. I seen that. Not my opinion or the point I have been trying to convey.
