Really????? They defeated Highlands in overtime in a game in which they trailed the entire game until overtime. Yes they won, but dominated no. Who keeps stats for a kid in frosh football? I know one place where they don't and unless I wanted to take the time to go back, look and count it would be tough for me to determine. Kid was a nice player, but I am not even sure he is/was the best in Northern Kentucky last year from all of the games that I saw.

I believe the England kid had close to 280 YDS. from scrimmage. One 80 yd td and on 50 yd td. So, I would say he had a pretty good game. And yes I have the film and verified all the yards of offense's stats.

Who's the Best put him on the map, and the butcher block as this is going. I didn't say the best, but he's in the conversation. You have to admit that.

The only point I will disagree with you on is when you said no other freshmen running back looked nearly as good, I can say with certainty that the Stringer kid from BW was every bit his equal, and if you saw the Championship game you will confirm. Other than that the England kid is very talented and if he continues along he will ascend to great heights.

You have me at a disadvantage becuse that is the only game I seen Slusher in. I have heard his name and that he's a good player. He did play well against us. We got behind early and had to spread the field and abandoned the ground and pound. You guys were determined to not let England beat you. Even doubled him outside. Smart! Put it on our 8th grade QB to win. But I agree Slusher will be good.

You claimed that Ryle dominated everyone but Beechwood and I informed you that they did not. Two long runs and how many runs where he gained little to no yards. Glad you verified all of the yards because I certainly do not have the time to go back and watch every game to determine how many yards passing/receiving/running that any player had in a game or season. As I said, nice player and hopefully he has some success at whatever level he plays this year. The Beechwood player was Stringer, not Slusher.

All of Ryles games are filmed for coaches review, Varsity, Jv, Freshmen for review with the players and coaches. And stats are kept to track a players progress and production. Some schools only film varsity. Others filmed freshmen too. You can pick up more on film than on the field in game speed enviornment. Good thing backs are not judged on each carry but a whole body of work. Everybody gets tackled and everybody loses yards. Peewee, middle school, freshmen, jv, varsity, college, pro's.

Well 280 with two long runs, ( are long runs bad? ) I'm not sure how many carries its not right in front of me, lets say 30 minus the TWO LONG RUNS thats about 5 yards a carry avg. Your point?

Stringer, sorry didn't mean to disrespect. Doesn't Beechwood have a Slusher?

I do not know how many teams actually keep stats for frosh games so how do you compare one kid/team to another? Point I and others have made is that you have made this kid out to be the next best thing and he has not played much JV or Varsity football. Let him enjoy the ride without creating all of these expectations and hope that he remains healthy over the next 3 years and if a college scholarship is earned then great and if not, then it was not meant to be.

Frankly, I only defended the kids position because there were some deep seeded criticism and still is. There are other kids to talk about. For the second or third time in this thread I've said lets move on. Or are there no other kids you guys want to bash. If want to know there are faster kids on the team. Wait till Mcgregor comes back healthy then and you get a mouthful of Jarvis and some speed with Bateman. Very good group of athletes. Bateman ran on the varsity 4X100 team is very fast for his age.

I'm not picking fights here, Comments were made stats or facts were given. I don't think its bad that there are facts to base a point on. Everyone has an opinion. I felt it added to the position. I'm a Ryle fan. I'm going to defend all the kids. I'm closer to the group than you guys and have NEVER put on paper a bad comment about any of the kids at any schools. Good luck to your programs please use this thread to talk about them and don't be so harsh on ours and I won't monopolize the posts.

Eric Wright- soph-return specialist/WR. reminds me of Cooper's Morgan. Really smooth hips, feet, good balance transition. Gets in and out of cuts without struggling, good hands. He'll be on the map soon.

They do have a Slusher and he's pretty good as well, in another post you mentioned Jarvis, almost forgot about that young man, he is a load, I remember watching him back in the day in the NKYFL...he was a beast.

He will be one heck of a LB. Not a bad RB, but we have alot of talent and depth at his age group. He started on that 8th grade national tournament team for kentucky that came in 3RD place at LB. Hits like a varsity player now. Just needs to get use to the speed of the varsity game. Three more years in the weight room won't hurt either.

Stringer from BW was brought up. What do we know? Size, weight, 40? who knows about the kid.

6'1" 185 lbs, not sure how fast he is, but I haven't seen anyone catch him from behind, would hate to estimate his 40 time, they seem to be to subjective. Runs with an attitude and is hard nosed. Good thing for Stringer is BW will not have to lean on him to carry the mail to much, they have Thomas and Talley in the backfield as well, but I look for Stringer to get 10-12 carries a game, also wouldn't be shocked to see him in slot so he can play in space....I think he and England are the class of the sophomore RB's. Almost forgot the sophomore back from Dixie, cant recall his name, but he is pretty darn good as well.

Glad to hear, hope he has a great year.
