Dominating Freshman football is one thing. If he is as dominat as you say why didn't he get any varsity snaps? Ryle was awful last year!

I said he was dominant at the freshman level, I said nothing about varsity dominance. Why don't you watch this and tell me he's not dominant

This half of the season was even better.

The England kid is a nice football player, but I would not say dominant either. Big difference from frosh football to varsity football. My suggestion would be to let the kid enjoy his first full year of varsity experience and hope that it is successful and injury free.

I agree with you 100%. We are talking about promising young kids who will play in the future. Maybe this year, maybe not. He has a bright future. How many frosh dominate varsity at d6 schools. not many he will wait his turn and hopefully explode on the map. We'll have to wait and see.

Easy to stop when all Ryle does is run the ball.

The competition didn't last year he scored three times and sat most of the second half against SK. OOPS. I think he only had 180 yards or so.

Ok, please get of the kids back. (England) He is just one of the promising players in NKY. Who else do we have lets move on!

Again, I know nothing about the makeup of the teams he was playing against. Big difference in maturity levels at the frosh level, doubt there were many teams that had the make up to stop a 6'2 200 lb kid. The fact that he has a youtube video out of freshman football highlights tells me all I need to know and end this discussion.

He's was ONLY 14. The videos are to help him get noticed by scouts looking at young talent. There was a big thread on being proactive and getting noticed. No one said this kid was the next Elliott. But most NKY programs would love to have him. He's a good kid. You guys are way to critical. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT FRESHMEN, NOT VARSITY. Chill..

I don't think people are being too critical of him. I think they are simply of the wait and see type. I don't think you'll find anyone on here that wants anything but the best for the kid, I think we'd all love to see him become the best back we've ever seen.

What they are going off of is a couple months back someone on here claimed him to be the best RB in the state and he was only a Freshman, it's the same thing about the QB Morgan for Ryle, someone last year made the statement he is a cant miss big time D1 QB and will be the starter for Ryle this year. Some of us know that Varsity is a huge difference than Freshman football and would rather wait and see before making claims like that.

Exactly.

These are the kids that are getting ready to start carring the torch. I don't think anybody in this thread has said he was a varsity stud. Someone said he dominated frosh ball and he did. Varsity is definately different. I don't expect any of the kids mentioned to be all state this year. They were brought up as some of the better athletes in their respective school. England seems to draw alot of negativity and pessimism. The kid can play. He is a great kid. He has at played at a high level every level he has played at. While varsity is tougher, I'm sure he will make the transition. Is the expectations - all world. NO. But he will play hard and bring it friday nights I'm sure.

Any way to get off the soap box, the coaching staff at Ryle has high expectations for the kid. So there might be something there.

As I said in my previous post, it isn't what was said in this thread as much as what had been said by a poster a couple months back about him. That he was going to be the best back in the state.

Trust me there is nothing wrong at all about being high on a kid, but some need to remember that when you post about the high expectations of a kid, especially about being the best in the state when he didn't even start for varsity before then they open themselves up to rebuttals.

When you make posts then be prepared for questions ref those predictions.

Very true, and I hope he's a stud.

I just hope a few of our freshmen and sophomores grow taller than 6'1 or 6'2. We've got some short kids.

Well he's no Elliott apparently?

He's not at this point. I wouldn't sell the kid short or throw in the towel yet. Seen him at the team meeting this week and he's looking like he's been lifting hard. Ran track to get faster.

They should put the England kid at QB.
