He's was ONLY 14. The videos are to help him get noticed by scouts looking at

young talent. There was a big thread on being proactive and getting noticed. No one said this kid was the next

Elliott. But most NKY programs would love to have him. He's a good kid. You

guys are way to critical. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT FRESHMEN, NOT VARSITY. Chill..

I don't think any coach would think to much of freshman highlights. Kids grow at different rates. He may never grow an inch or he could grow 3 inches. Lets see how he does aginst the big boys.

HAHAH wow well I just read most of the comments about the colin england kid....OK number one stop hating the boy can play 2 if the kid wants to put his highlights on youtube so what good for him. 3 how do most of you figure that freshman teams arent built to stop a 6 2 kid everyone has size nowa days this isnt the 70s Now yeah he does run to high but even though he ran that high he ran over most of your schools and to say he wont be any good becuse hes only a freshman is bs hes s freshman so he played freshman ball. And umm so a coach wont think much of freshman highlights huh...wow some of you dont get it if your a SMART VARSITY COACH YOU WOULD CHECK THEM out because your gonna be coaching the kid one day and you can see what he can do and what you can do to improve him. He didnt grow up running the ball so as time goes on he will learn to lower his pad level that comes with experience. But whatever position he ends up playing he is good and has been playing since he was young and yes he would be a good ball player for any team in the nky area period.

Your varsity coach watches his freshamn on you tube? LOLOLOL I though you were talking about college coaches. LOL No wonder Ryle was BAD last year. I could care less about a kid who hasn't played 1 varsity snap. I thought you were talking about sending the film to colleges. No College coach would care about Freshman flim.

HAHA rocker your a joke i sd if the varsity coach was smart he would watch and check the film seeing as that kid will be on varsity soon and really college coaches dont watch film of kids if they arent on varsity you may want to read up ROCKER a 7th grade kid was just offered after he went to a summer camp. AND its not my coach i could give a damn if ryles coach watches the film or not like I sd if he was smart he would. SO THE JOKES ON YOU hahahaha.

HAHA you are a joke. The kid was offered for his performance at the camp. Not his Freshman Film. If you think the varsity coach watches film of freshman you are dead wrong. If the kid is good we will see if he starts for 3 years on varsity. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

If anyone thinks college coaches will not watch film of a players freshman and JV h/l's you are sadly mistaken. Don't believe me, ask Drew Barker how many college coaches he got to watch his films of his first year at Conner. College coaches will leave no stone unturned when it comes to recruiting "exceptional" talent early especially if the player is putting the information in their lap by making contact with the coaches first. People need to educate themselves before speaking about the recruiting game because believe it or not it starts in the players freshman year, and sometimes as we have seen of late even earlier, varsity or not.

Spot on Mr. Sixer. My advice to any kid who has aspirations of continuing their athletic career is to be proactive and "market" yourself to the decision makers. If you think you have what it takes, go get it. You might be waiting a long time if you are waiting for them to come find you. Another note, leave the fancy music off off your film. Coaches don't like it.

I'm thinking about writing a book to help kids with this process.

Sorry to bust you bubble but a 7th grader was offered a d1 scholarship last week to kentucky for 2018. He's never played a down of varsity ball. They look for a kids potential. While good varsity numbers will help, what makes you think a 205 freshmen will not continue to lift and work on his speed. Barring injury I predict this kid will have a vary good career. These films (per his coaching staff) have gained him some college interest. They start looking early and this helps, period.

Rocker, I think your comments are off your rocker. When has freshmen success been an automatic prelude for varsity failure. You said wait and see how he plays with the big boys. I agree, but you have never seen him, he is a big boy. And I heard a famous NFL running back seen him and his films and was quite impressed. Even took the time to meet him and spoke to him about his future. He's at the UC camp now turning heads. Go look for yourself. Before you bash a kid, (which I think is horrible) you should know who you are bashing. Most parents want the best for all the kids. People want this kid to fail so bad. He must be really good to want to tear him down like that. I would rather (on any kid ) just wish them the best.

Isn't film true performance. It wasn't make believe.

1. Will this kid start on varsity this year

2. Will he put up the numbers?

Good luck to him. I read the post that his varsity coach was watching youtube film of his own player. I don't care if this person fails or goes to D1. I do agree on getting film out to schools. I just don't think much stock is put in freshman film. I bet he got a lot of send me your varsity film next year.

Camp means more than freshman/jv film see Zeke Pike.

Collin England's resume

pewee - defensive player of the year 3 times

as a senior - scored everytime he touched the ball

7th grader fbu camp started for the Kentucky team against tenn. in the border war game.

8th grader- Ky-all state, hand picked for the FBU Kentucky national team- started as safety - team went to 3rd in the nation. picked off 3 passes scored once. (brand new position)Freshman 1400 yards or so 20 Td's.

Seen him in practice with the varsity and you cant tell he's not a junior or senior.

For you whom do not know him what's the downside? Anyone who does know him thinks otherwise. That's why you get such a strong reaction when you blast him. We know. I Think any coach would love to have this kid. He'd be on the field somewhere.

Colleges can't initiate convo this year against ncaa regs.

While that resume has some very nice recognition and accomplishments, I feel it's much more important to develop as a player for the future. At the end of the day, who really cares what was accomplished against kids his own age or younger and FBU games as a 7th grader. Also, 8th grade All-State?? Really? What is that? As an 8th grader, he should of been playing on the frosh team at his high school, then as a frosh on the JV HS team. Like I said, those recognitions are fun to get, but development is so much more important even if it means not dominating so a kid and his parents can bang on their hollow drum. My advice, play up whenever possible if the kid can handle it. The payoff will be much greater when things start to really count. Just my two cents..........
