Good list. I'd put Breandon Johnson as the DL to watch and Sowards on the OL. I'd include Morgan at WR as well CB. Lastly he goes to Cooper not Ryle.

The Johnson kid from Holmes is a beast and will gain a lot of double team attention this year, or teams will just learn to run away from him.

 

To answer your FB question, last year Avery Bricking was used as a FB for Cooper and he was very very good, this year I am guessing he will be moved to RB. AJ Collins was used in the same role in 2011 and by the end of the season was moved to RB. Bricking is very fast also and avg'd a nice chunk of yards per carry last year when he was given the ball, something like 11 yds a carry through the regular season. If he stays at FB I don't know of a better FB in the area.

 

Scott used a Fullback a little bit, Dylan Detetta played it most the time when they were in the right formation. He was a tough kid to bring down.

Okay so the best 11 players in NKY and probably the state reside in Independence. Imagine if all those kids didn't leave to go to Beechwood they would rival Trinity. Based on these responses, Marksberry and Herbst better win a State Title or it would be the biggest let down since the 17-0 Patriots finishing second to an average NY Giants team!

I was totally kidding about the FB position. A kid everyone leaves off is the RB from Bellevue. That kid, Dylan Huff (I believe) will have atleast 1800 yards and lead his team in tackles and interceptions.

I completely forgot about the Huff kid, he may not be large in stature, but he plays like he is 10' tall and bulletproof.

Logan Schneider OL from Campbell will be one of the top OL in NKY this year.

Franzen of NewCath, has the potential to be the best WR in the area. Of course a WR is completely dependent on his QB. That will be an interesting development up on the Hill.

So true. I think Cooper with Fussinger and Morgan may have the best WR combo in the area, but the biggest thing is how much will Cooper throw the ball with a new QB this year. Will they be a ground and pound team or will they actually try to spread the ball around? 21.6 and 20 yard per reception avg the last 2 years for Fussinger and the explosiveness that Morgan has knowing he can take it to the house at any time is quite a duo. But as you said it really comes down to the ability to get them the ball.

This will sound a bit crazy to some, but hear me out. Highlands QB will again be among the best in the area and indeed in the state. I know, Towels is gone and everybody said it would be back to reality. Then McCoy follows up with a first team all state season, and now he is gone. Now Houlliston is the next in line. He may not have the arm of Towles or the running game of McCoy, but he may just be the best QB of the three. Yea I just said that.

 

Add that to the tremendous depth and talent at WR and you have a tremendous passing game. With Harris and Hayes back at RB and four lineman that started all or part of last season returning this may be the perfect storm.
