Very few catches from what I recall. Heck, very few passes thrown his way in games I attended.

 

I still say OT is a possibility for him.

Dont misunderstand me, the kid is a big target at 6'5" and is going to catch a lot of balls in Dixies offense, I just dont think he is as well rounded as the True kid from Highlands. As he gains strength he will be a better blocker at the point of attack, last year I thought his skills as a blocker were lacking, he is going to be a good one, he just isnt at the top of the ladder yet, IMO.

True, TE hasn't been much of the HHS passing game no matter who was there. Until of course the other team forgets he's there.

Heard through the grapevine Avery will move to qb this year.

 

Thats the rumor. Avery has played QB in the past with much success and will allow them to develop Wilson for the following year. win win.

With the line they have it will be good.

Lyon caught 4 tds. NCC didn't run a te offense, only maybe 4-5 snaps a game, in short yardage situations. He had 2 tds called back and one was ruled "no catch" in the Dixie game. That makes seven. Lets not forget the biggest catch, final second of the state title game to win it. He did drop a crucial TD in the mcnich game, had to settle for three, NCC lost by 3 i think.

 

To say its not close is a bit rough, I don't think the kid had enough snaps to compare them.

Agree kid didn't play TE much last year. Dont know why his name came up for top TE. I think if he plays at the next level at TE He's going to have to gain a ton of weight. I think he's under 200lbs??

I agree True is the better TE. Hedger did enter spring football at 220 this year. True is stronger and a better blocker. Hedger best hands of any nky TE and 6'5 with a big frame.

If he's a legit 6'5 (heck if he's 6'4) and 220 I would hope he's getting out to summer camps to get seen.
