Hunger Games: Catching Fire

There's quite a bit in the tailor that I don't remember from the book. For example I don't remember that conversation between Snow and whoever that is taking place. I don't think it was in the book.

You're right, it was not in the book. Some of it was inferred & some was "remembered" by the main character.

Don't forget, the director only has 2.5 hours to convey a lot of things that the book took longer to communicate. I'll cut the director some slack.

Didn't read the books so can't comment on that. However, did anyone besides me think the movie was terrible? Not just the subject matter, kids killing kids, thats bad enough, but in my opinion it was just a bad movie. Quite honestly I couldn't have cared less if the main character had been killed or not, and, at least for this movie, thats not what I am supposed to feel. I didn't think the acting was very good, some of the scenes were just not very well done, way too may holes in the plot. I was told I would have understood the movie a LOT better had I read the book. Well, I don't want to read the book, and the movie really shouldn't have to make you do that if it's well made. I got the movie from Red Box and stil felt I paid too much to see it.

I think I'm more in your camp. I didn't read the book so really didn't think much of the movie. A movie should still be pretty good if you didn't read the book and probably great if you did.

I'm taking my niece to see it Tuesday after she gets out of school.

Going tonight;

Read all the books and saw the first movie. Can't wait to see the 2nd! I absolutely love Jennifer Lawrence!

We went and saw About Time yesterday afternoon and after the movie went to buy tickets for Catching Fire for tonight's showing, already sold out :(

Comes out tomorrow.

Bluto cannot contain himself.

Bluto's going tonight @ 8 PM. And no, I can't contain myself!!

My daughter works at the movie theatre in Wilder and she said all the shows for tonight have been sold out for awhile now.

I'm happy for you. :lol2::thumb:

You're going to dress up. Stop denying it. :lol2:

Where's Cinna when you need him?

I guess I'm glad people are going to the movies...helps keep people employed. But this movie? Well, at least as far as the first one went...sorry, I don't get it. I thought it was terrible and a waste of my money...and I rented it at the redbox. I doubt this one will be on my list. Am I alone in this?
