Being able to stay up all night and still work the next day.

Walking without creaking, popping and aching.

Wearing cute clothes.

Being able to buy glasses for less than. $600/pair

Feeling that being old is a loooonnngggg way down the road.

As a 22 year, starting adult life. Being old sucks :D

Hanging out with all my buddies from school, playing whatever sport that was in season until dark or later. When I wakup the next day and not feel pain...

Summer nights hanging out with friends with no care about what I was doing the next day.

Being able to sprint without the tightening of a hamstring.

Being in shape.

Being able to drink a good amount, and not feel like absolute crap the next day; I've lost that ability within the last year or so.

No jobs.

Having parents to pay for stuff.

Being able to go to class, sleep, wake up, and answer the questions teacher asked.

Not having to cook myself meals.

Not having to by the significant other nice things.

Being able to get all your friends together at a moments notice.

Playing competitive sports, let alone three different ones within the same month.

Recess.

Sega Genesis.

Thinking you are invincible.

Watching Brett Favre in Green and Gold.

Going to the school library in elementary school.

Hulk Hogan.

I can seriously go on for days.

Being able to dunk! I miss playing basketball 3-4 nights a week like when I was 18-22yo. We played league a couple of nights a week and seemed to always be able to find an "open" gym that we could play at.

I miss my brand new Mustang GT from 1988 that I got myself as a birthday present.

I could also could go on all night on the things that I miss from my younger days.

That said, at that age I didn't know God, I didn't know the love of my life and I didn't know the love that a parent feels for a child. I wouldn't go back to "not knowing" those things for anything.

I miss not having my natural color hair, even thought I started turning gray in high school.

I miss not having all my teeth.

I actually miss work now that I am retired.

I miss the endurance I used to have while working in the yard.

I miss my short term memory. Can't remember where I put anything anymore.

But I am thankful that I have lived 61 years and have been so blessed with my health, family, friends, co-workers and a job that I so enjoyed.

I will probably never retire, and that is the exact reason why. For some reason, I love working.

I remember thinking what an old man my dad was. He was 38.

My Dad

Little League

Going to baseball practice

Having my best friend stay over or me staying at his house

Home cooked meals six days a week

Recess

Jr Bowling League and then going to the pizza shop, who's dad owned the place. We ate pizza for free and played pool all afternoon

So much more I could list

I loved working too. The reason I retired early was to take care of my parents that were not in good health. My dad passed away 1 1/2 years ago at age 93. My mom is 85 and not in good health. Thought I loved my work and miss the kids, my family needed me more. I don't regret it.

Saturday morning Cartoons

MTV -Videos

Playing man-hunt

Wiffle Ball games all day long

Riding bikes on dirt trails along the Ohio River before all the development

Fishing with my Dad

No real worries

Being 22 (almost 23) and being in Pharmacy school, I feel like I've gotten a small "extension" of my younger life before entering my adult one. Although the stress I'm put under in school right now makes me consider if I'm better off in adult life haha :D.
