Louisville's New Field Turf

I like the idea of a bigger midfield logo. Although those things are much bigger than you think when you are standing in the middle of them.

^That's a big sewing machine.

They're going to do it by hand with the tiniest gauge needles available. There will be legions of elderly women with thimbles employed. :D

My favorite has always been the Eye of the Tiger. Couldn't UofL do something like the "Beak of the Bird"? Or a flock of attacking cardinals or something? :D
Best looking field in all of football!!! IMO

The Kroger ladies that do the garland of roses will do it.

Altough I'm not a big fan of the 5's.....too busy.

For those of you who are unaware, turf is stitched together. I was not joking.

I was laughing at Deuce's reply, not that it's stitched (which I knew). I get a chuckle from time to time and can't help myself from sharing.

Almost done.

The black end zones are sick.

Pretty great. I like it a lot. The alternating colors are going to look great streaking by in HD as DeVante Parker runs out 60-yard TD receptions.

Almost done.

It's hard for me to tell from the video due to the shadows, but is the field two toned like the picture Getslow displayed in the first post?

Yeah. You can't tell from the Vine due to the shadows over the field, but it's two-toned... and they alternate at a slightly unusual pattern. If I can find a clear pic, I'll put it here.

Found a picture. As you can see, I wasn't kidding about the colors alternating in an... interesting... pattern (5-10-5-10). The switches are also fairly subtle, which I like. It's not an extreme color change between the segments.

I can't see Getslow's picture for some reason, but I'm hoping the contrast isn't as noticeable as it is at Nebraska. I've always thought their light green/dark green look was too much.

Love watching football from PJS. Also loved attending basketball games at Freedom Hall. Commonwealth and Rupp are OK, just liked PJS and Freedom Hall better. Had kids graduate from both UL & UK.
