Louisville's New Field Turf

Found a picture. As you can see, I wasn't kidding about the colors alternating in an... interesting... pattern (5-10-5-10). The switches are also fairly subtle, which I like. It's not an extreme color change between the segments.

I like the alternate light and dark and the pattern, very cool!!!

I personally would have liked a bigger Cardinal at midfield. It looks to be around 20yds by 20yds, I'd like to see at least 30yd by 30yds. That said it still looks great.

Hope NCAA Football has updated field on it this season.

Love watching football from PJS. Also loved attending basketball games at Freedom Hall. Commonwealth and Rupp are OK, just liked PJS and Freedom Hall better. Had kids graduate from both UL & UK.

I love PJCS. I've been to a lot of road games and it's the best college stadium I've ever been in.

I've always maintained, especially at donation time :D, that when USF builds an OCS, I want it to be just like PJCS. (Only green, of course. :))

Altough I'm not a big fan of the 5's.....too busy.

I'm confused.

I'm confused.

We were talking about Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge. The field is numbered every 5 yards instead of 10.

My favorite has always been the Eye of the Tiger. Couldn't UofL do something like the "Beak of the Bird"? Or a flock of attacking cardinals or something? :D

Best looking field in all of football!!! IMO

I'm obviously biased, but I haven't been in a college stadium I like more than PJCS.

They've updated the stadium, but I'm not sure about the field graphic.

Thanks for the explanation, I didn't see anything crazy about the PJCS lone "5".

All done.

This blog post has some nice up-close pictures of the endzone and midfield logo.

Wrapping Up the Turf Project at PJCS

Looks great. Not bad for something that had the UofL Athletic Department Marketing Division involved. Good on ya, marketing types.

If those seats weren't pink that place would look pretty dang sweet :lol2:. Those black end zones look sweet.
