Beechwood Names a New Head Coach....

Featured Replies

My fault. I seem to be reading everything wrong tonight. . . . (seriously--my fault). I admit--I had a hard time seeing where you were coming from there.

I do have my own opinion here--I think that things WILL get back to "normal". Naturally, people will/should be skeptical after the reign of Coach Y. But--I definitley would expect any "rebuilding" type comments. More along the lines of reloading . . . . . From there--we will do our talking on the field.

That is good to hear. Gosh knows I'm sure everyone in Fort Mitchell hated to see New Cath win the title this year even though they were such a dominate team.

Congrats to Coach Rash..I'm sure he will do an excellent job..With that said I'm wondering who the next AD at Beechwood will be. Doubt very much that Coach Burnett will want to stick around. I'm sure in his mind it has to feel like a kick in the rear after being the one who has had to hold things together over the past several years when all of the Yeagle issues were rearing their ugly heads. Anyway Coach Burnett has enough time in to retire and I suspect he will end his stay at Beechwood and resurface back across the river. IMO Coach Burnett is a classy guy and I'm sure handled himself in a classy manner when he got the news. Good luck Coach Burnett with whatever you decide.

Noel Rash is a great guy and will do a wonderful job at Beechwood and a great choice for the position. Congratulations to Noel and the Tigers!

Congrats to Noel.

Article says Yeagle had 6 titles. I will correct that error. He has 8 titles and 2 runners-up.

Article has encouraging quotes from coach Rash. Nice to hear. :thumb:

Great question BZ...I wonder who will take Coach Burnett's AD job? I agree that he probably won't stick around. He does sooo much for the school beyond AD and Coach, he is also the Asst. Principal.

He is a loyal guy with a heart the size of Texas. He probably feels pretty slighted...I would. Heck the man's house is basically on school property!

He will re-surface...he is not the retiring kind-of-guy IMO.

That being said...Coach Rash is awesome person and a great candidate for the job! Coach Rash will do great things with the team.

Congrats Coach Rash!

:thumb: I would agree with you regarding Coach Burnett from what I know of him and heard from others. Probably figures the years of loyalty were maybe for nothing. I certainly hope not. He deserved better. I think you will see him helping on the sideline next year for someone. Maybe for a certain former Tiger coach.

With that said I'm sure Rash will do a nice job..

a somewhat related question, but I wanted to ask it on this thread for my information...can anyone tell me what Mike Yeagle will do now, or where he will go? Is he still teaching at Beechwood? Played against him, coached against him, and have nothing but the utmost respect for him...I'd like to know what his future plans are now, if any of you can help???

Last I heard he is subbing full time in the Boone Co school system. I think its going to be difficult for him to get hired as an assitant becouse of his desire to become a head coach again. You can figure out why. Mike will be fine.

I'm not so sure about that. He has had a few opportunities to get with teams already and has not for one reason or the other. I think he may be done for a little while or at least in NKY. Just my opinion.

If you were a head coach? Would you want Mike Yeagle on your staff when you know he has designs on becoming a head coach again...a built in replacement ? I would think not. I think his presence would be intimadating for most.

That may be, but there was one place I know of that pretty much offered him that and then backed out because they weren't comfortable with the situation.

Since he didn't get the Head Coaching job has Burnett decided to leave or are you guys just assuming he will leave???

I wanted to comment before now but here goes. I really like Coach Rash. Coach Rash has always gone out of his way to treat me well. I like Coach Rash's enthusiasm and how well he works with others. Bottom line, I really think Coach Rash is good choice for the Beechwood job.

Congrats Coach! Fight em Tigers!

Also, kudos to the powers that be at Beechwood for keeping the process private, you guys really made it tough on me to get information. :D

I only have one request Coach Rash, just win baby!

Just talked to Noel Tonight. He's fired up about the job, and I think he'll be fantastic...
