No--I am not surprised.

But I bet all of the people who were on here saying that it was a done deal are.

There were 2 excellent in-house candidates (and some outsides ones as well). The committee/administration did a great job of truly trying to find the right candidate.

Congratulations to Coach Rash.

Congratulations Coach Rash. I don't look for the Tigers to miss a beat. Great choice IMO.

Quickslick, to your point, I agree. I think there are a LOT of folks that thought the A.D. (Burnett) was a shoe-in.

Most folks around the program that I have spoken with today seem genuinely excited about this decision.

I am glad to hear that they are excited. I know that there will also be people who are a little skeptical--and that is their right.

But I have this crazy feeling that everything will work out okay.

Again--I think that it pretty cool that the committee/principal kept an open mind about the situation as opposed to making an easy decision. In the short term and the long term--I think that the Beechwood faithful will be very pleased with the outcome of this selection.

IMO, this was the easy decision. :fire:

Maybe in this case, but when the sitting AD has a hat in the ring, most would disagree.

I have had the pleasure of watching this young man play and coach and he is well deserving of the job. I too don't think Beechwood will miss a beat and they will be up there as always with this staff. I only wish him the best of luck and I know he will be a tremedous football coach. JD, I am going to assume by your post, that my hunch was correct that Noel was a Lloyd grad.

Yes he was and he played college ball at Thomas Moore, he also coached at Moeller for awhile. A tremendous young man I must say. JD

Did Bob Burnett keep his hat in the ring?

How much of the current staff will the new coach keep?
