April 7, 201313 yr I rewound and watched it again...I think a frustrated Van Treese delivered an intentional strike to Baker's face. I think it would've been a flagrant foul if they would've reviewed it. That being said...go Cards!
April 7, 201313 yr My opinion after watching it live was that it was an intentional palm to the face but I'm going to rewind and take another look. See post 28 above, would have rather seen it played out. That call was bad, should have been a no call or possibly foul on UL and just bc your 3-12 doesn't mean an automatic miss or possibility of being fouled on a shot, will never know now. jmo Anyway it's over and congrats again to the bgp / UL fans.
April 7, 201313 yr Great game. Russ Smith is so quick it looks like he takes 4 steps half the time. It looks like he gets away with traveling on some of those moves because he is so fast
April 7, 201313 yr My prediction was the entire Louisville team would be on a mission. I was wrong. Thankfully Luke Hancock was on a mission. A win is a win. Somebody in our crowd tonight called Louisville by 4 other argued the 10 1/2 line was more like it and maybe 15. But the Shockers deserved to be the spot they were in and could have won the game. Their team and coach did great.

April 7, 201313 yr Not sure if Pitino was outcoached or not. I mean, he didn't have to play the walkon. Plus, some nights your players just don't make shots... Nice coaching job by Pitino today. He had the right players in the right situations in the second half.
April 7, 201313 yr All lf you guys can jump on me if you want to but I have to say that the call towards the end was key and was a terrible call, they imo made the call too quick and there was no tie up that I saw. Possession went to the Cards and the game was basically over. That call may not have cost WSU the game, they were two points down at the time but I certainly would rather they let it play out to see what would happen. I actually thought that they could have just as easily called a foul on UL just as easy as they called what they did. That no call imo sums up a season of bad officiating in all of college basketball. It is called a foul almost every time when the defensive player tries to tie up the rebounder on FT's., and he clearly had ahold of Baker's arm. It was clearly too quick, and while it may not have decided the game, it clearly ended it prematurely.
