Sad Sad Sad. Who goes around doing something like this? What does the Law do to killer now? If he's 10-15, prison? juvy?

I'm with Clizzy. As soon as I saw this story on CNN my first thought was that something is missing from this story.

I saw the woman's tearful interview and she said she thought one kid was 13 and the other may have been about 10 years old. She also is saying the kid pushed her out of the way. I'm trying to figure out how big this kid was that had the strength to push a grown woman protecting her infant out of the way.

If true and they catch the kids, then their life in jail should be nothing short of pure you know what and made to suffer each day.

Forgive me but I thought the same thing. That is not a small woman, no offense. How did a teenager move her away from her child? If the shot in the leg was minor enough that she walked immediately after leaving the hospital then there's no way in my mind that it was severe enough to cause an adrenaline charged mother from doing everything she could to protect her child. Couple that with the fact that she was so willing to be on TV and 2+2 just doesn't make 4 in my mind. I can't imagine any mother who had lost a child that tragically allowing herself to be interviewed. I really pray that I'm just being an old cynic but this just doesn't seem right.

Agreed 100%. Another thing I thought was how strange it was for her to be in TV interviewing immediately after this incident. I'm glad I am not alone in my cynicism. After seeing her I imagined my own 13 year old son and there is no way in hell he is pushing that woman out of the way while holding a gun.

 

I'm wondering if there were any witnesses.

Here's a story from Sept 2012 about Lisa Irwin who went missing in Sept 2011. Still hasn't been found. I always said this one felt funny as well. Still do.
