NKU Fires AD

Scott Eaton has been fired as AD at NKU.

NKU's president says "my decision was compelled by his (Eaton) failure to comply with the University's ethical principles."

He was suspended by the President on 3.12. Fired today.

Was extremely disappointed to hear the news that he was fired today. Went and checked out the press release on NKU's site and it certainly seemed rather intense.

 

Dr. Eaton was someone that I really looked up too and I thought he was a great ambassador for the University. He seemed to always make it a point to go out of his way to say hello to myself, my father, and any of my friends when he saw we were at the game. Always thanked us for coming.

 

Just extremely disappointed in all of this and unfortunately have to say I've lost my respect for Dr. Eaton.

Connecting the dots... the act was not criminal, no evidence of financial misconduct, will not impact NKU's NCAA compliance status, did not involve an athlete, there was a pattern of misconduct.

 

I'm filling my bracket out with - ongoing affair with a student, over 18 yrs of age, who was not an athlete.
