Interesting discussion. Bottom line in all this is you have to have the development to keep the high level of play. Many talk about the strong freshman classes at not only this school but many others as well but the key is to transform this to the varsity level. Other than the immediate area, there is not alot of attention paid to freshman championships. The talent pool is always going to be there at Ryle as their pool of players is huge, regardless of the small piece that broke off with the creation of Cooper, and Conner was hurt more than Cooper. It's what gets done with said talent that matters at the end of the day.

Ryan Rytlewski? Wasn't he the JV quarterback last year as a sophomore?

Ryan Hill plays QB also and was on Varsity last year. He actually played QB in a game the year before when Davis got hurt and I believe he rushed for close to 200 yaards in that game and scored a couple TD's and threw for 1 I think.

 

He also won player of the week for that game.

Only problem Ryle don't throw the ball.

There are a couple kids out there throwing the ball that you didn't know or hear about yet. Both are good athletes may be interesting at the QB position this year. Ryle may have had a hidden gem that got lost behind another kid.

He was not lost behind another kid. He started the season late last year. I can tell you the kid has a cannon.

He's fast and a good athlete. Not saying he should be their starting QB by no means, just bringing him up to those who said there was nobody last year behind Davis. There was, they just chose not to go that route.

He has looked very good in spring ball so far. He played QB in Texas where he's from originally. He looks to be the best so far. Ryle hasn't thrown the ball much because they had Elliot and since Hempfel haven't had a consistent QB. I think times might be changing some. Warner is not stupid as some people think. He will cater that offense to whom he has to work with.

Has anyone been to spring practice this week? Any updates?
