We really need a dislike button

It's true this team has struggled since the Elliot days. They are run oriented. In saying that they have a handfull, not just one, of talented young backs. A year to mature and then I think it's off to the races.

 

It's starts with the O-line (last year clear example), Ryle will be thin this year, only 2 starts return, JV struggled last year in this area. If Ryle has this "stable" of backs, a good coaching crew would use this in oThers area's, to have team speed on the field and just running the ball. They also need to find a QB, amount of kids coming out will not be an issue IMO

Why in God's name do you feel it necessary to go on another team's thread and insult kids?

 

 

He's not the only one who does that. Can we build our youth up, no matter what school they attend.

The frosh line did very well against frosh competition. They need to be able to start competing at the varsity level starting this year. I assume we will take some lumps but gain some good experience.

There are a couple kids from last years frosh line that will have the ability to compete at the varsity level next year but they need to put in a lot of work this offseason.

I think with their abilities and the leadership of the two returning starters the Ryle O-line will be just fine. It also sounds like they have a new O-Line coach and the kids really love working with him.

Coaches that the kids want to play for and like. That will go a long way. I dont think they liked the last line coach much at all from what I hear.

I think the D will be younger and faster. Hopefully very agressive. The frosh, and JV weren't too bad at all last year. Only game they got beat was beechwood.

As been stated before: great freshman teams do not equate to championships at the varsity level. Beechwood's 2008 frosh team destroyed HHS as freshmen and never won a championship. Good luck to you, but your logic is flawed. It's entirely different at the varsity level.

Sure they have lost, I think 3 games in three years. Of course varsity is different. But do you think varsity kids self spawn or are they younger kids being developed who become varsity players. These kids have built a character of winning. That may follow them it may not. Winners have a habit of winning.

What I am assuming is that these kids have been able to perform for a few different coaching staffs. IF that is true, it bodes well for them to adjust to yet another one at the JV/Varsity levels. You just have to hope the group can maintain their physical talent, did not peak already, keep their grades up and are able to take those hits from kids as much as 3 years older than them.

Have a sneeky suspition that if they were at a bluer school there would not be so much negativity. That we'd wait with anticipation for them to mature. Truth is these kids are football players and will grow and work hard like all the other schools. This happens to be a talented group. It happens at other schools too guys. But like with all other freshman teams everywhere we'll have to wait and see how it works out.

Ryle success doesn't scare me at all. I actually wish they would become good, more competition better rivalries in the area. I just don't see it happening soon enough. Some may not like what I'm about to say but I'll say it anyway. This has nothing to do with the people as being bad people because they aren't they are great, but a big problem I see at Ryle and a reason several really good football players don't play is because of politics. Too many dad's on that coaching staff and more times than not wwhen you have dad's coaching their kids their priorities tend to be toward their kids more than the team iitself. The best players play... end of discussion. That might be an excuse used but the player that earns the spot plays. It is no secret which kids work hard and put in the time in the offseason. If someone feels they are not playing enough, work harder and get better. For the I wish they would get good comment, we thought the same about Cooper the last couple years. Now that you have finally beaten us it can be discussed as a rivalry.
