Ryle 54 Simon Kenton 18 (Frosh)
Raider Pride #7 replied to StraightShooter's topic in KY Football (High School)
#7 had a good year for a frosh season. The only team he didn't have a good game against was BW. He played very well against every one else. Kind of tired of hearing about his only bad game when he had so many other good ones. But we as poeple always slide to the dark side of things. We know BW beat us. We were there. He's off to varsity and hoping to have some level of success. -

He has looked very good in spring ball so far. He played QB in Texas where he's from originally. He looks to be the best so far. Ryle hasn't thrown the ball much because they had Elliot and since Hempfel haven't had a consistent QB. I think times might be changing some. Warner is not stupid as some people think. He will cater that offense to whom he has to work with. -

Beechwood had his number. They did a great job of taking him out of the game. Put it on the rest of the team to win. -

There are a couple kids out there throwing the ball that you didn't know or hear about yet. Both are good athletes may be interesting at the QB position this year. Ryle may have had a hidden gem that got lost behind another kid. -

They had a large frosh class last year and will again this year. May not pay dividends this year, but soon. And last years frosh were big to be frosh, many the size of varsity players. A little more time for some mental maturity and were good to go. -

The cooper split hurt. Kids that go to the same middle school go to different high schools? They need to rezone that. Just doesn't seem right. My daughter and son lost some long time friends. 10-15 kids would be back on Ryles team with that alone. -

Can you imagine the talent pool boone co. could draw if you could attend the school of choice. That school would be an instant dynasty. NO DOUBT. -

It's not that bad. We all have our opinions and are entitled to them as adults. It's the kids who have to play. I hope everybody achieves the level of success and stays healthy. Just not at Ryles expense.:taz: -

We dont think we are the next great thing. We are excited about the kids we have and are excited about this being the start of building a good solid program. We have to turn the corner sometime. I think these are the groups we do it with. -

I could not agree with you more. To build a house you have to lay a foundation. We are excited because we think we have a good foundation. For you Highlands guys, we realize that we have not built a dynasty like you. You're on top, so everyone gunning for you ! GET USED TO IT. But please stop acting like you guys are invincible. Power tends to shift from time to time. Im sure we'll be more gracious to you when you're on the bottom. -
Wish they would schedule games against each other though. Bcpwfl and raiders and jags.
-
They don't keep much as far as statistics in the league. Now that Cooper Jags And Union Raiders are in existence the other schools kids can be lumped together more. At first I was against the new teams, as I coached in the league. ( bcpwfl )But I came around, even let my kid play for union his last year. Turned out good for all the schools.
