Montgomery County 53 Bishop Brossart 36

Final from Nicholas County. Montgomery advances to the finals.

Congratulations to the Lady Indians. Kinda thought it would go this way.

The definition of insanity. Do the same thing over and over and expect different results.

Congratulations to the Lady Indians but also to the Bishop Brossart Lady Stangs. Both quality teams but Montgomery just a bit more talented on this night. Since we most likely will not hear from BGH after this one, I would just like to congratulate the Lady Stangs on a great season. They have a bright future ahead and would expect them to make another good run next season. And as far as BGH goes, can't wait for the wins from the Brossart softball team but missing reports when they lose. Oh yeah, and the inflated stats too!

BBHS lost to a school 3x their size. This is what happens this time of the year when you don't have classes. Where are you 1 class defenders?

Size of the school does help in most cases due to more students to choose from but tonight that wasnt the case. You cant shoot the way BBHS did and beat a quality team like Montgomery this time of the year. Good luck to the Indians in the finals and congrats to BBHS for a great year.

Spot on. That's the worst I've seen BROSSART shoot. At one point in the 3rd they shot 5 straight air balls, but a lot of that had to do with Montgomery's defense.

Lady Stangs shot poorly tonight. End up 20% from the field. A single field goal in the first and fourth periods lent to their doom.

Tough way to go out for seniors Rachael Hartig, (Mama) Maria Greis, and Maddie Kues.

Better times ahead.

BMustangs website down tonight, so am unable to update. Hopefully, the situation will rectify itself in the morning.

Congrats to the lady Indians on the win and BB for a great season.

Macie Spence with 20 points and 19 rebounds. That's STRONG!

Brossart with another fine season.........Congrats to them!!!!

She has great hands and great foot work also. Finishes around the rim well to.

True, but isn't Brossart a private school?

What does that have to do with anything. 380 kids versus 1100 kids means more players to pick from and there are not many kids choosing to go to Brossart for sports and if they are they are picking it for the wrong reasons. They have a good sports programs and have been very good but just don't have the numbers to reload every year. Some very good classes and some ok classes thats how it goes for small school. Montgomery has a really good team and would beat BBHS 8 or 9 times out of 10. No disrespect to BBHS because they are good and play as hard as anyone, thats just the way it is.

I love small school sports and would love to see classes but it will never happen. All A is there chance to shine and some years in the big show. How many "A" schools will make the sweet 16 in either boys or girls. Not many if any.
