Of the choices above, pick which school that has the best overall football program. That includes all the following:

* All level of play - 9th 10th 11th 12th

* Fan Support

* Coaches

* Wins

* Titles

* Facilities

* Etc.

I mean include everything in your result, not just this years success or failure but all time. Which school is the best in football overall.

I will try and do each letter after about a week of posting.

Past choices have been --

Ashland (82%)

Boyle County (33%) -- edged Beechwood (28%)

Covington Catholic (44%) -- Corbin had 36%

Danville (79%)

Elizabethtown (56%)

Franklin-Simpson (28%) -- Fort Knox was second with 22%

Glasgow (39.4%) -- George Rogers Clark was a close second with 36.8%

Highlands (76.5%)

Iroquois (100%) -- in a squeaker

Johnson Central (40.8%)

Knox Central (38.9%) -- edging Knott Central (37.2%) by a vote

Lexington Catholic (50%) -- Lloyd Memorial had 14%

So of the choices, which includes all the football playing schools in Kentucky that begin with the letter 'M', which one is best?

I voted Mayfield. They have won a lot of state championships and their program is always solid. Their only detracter would be the stadium they play in.

Wait a minute, I thought Male was an "H" school. :fire:

Male

I voted Male...... but Mayfield is an obvious choice as well....... Middleboro also deserves mentioning.

Wait a minute, I thought Male was an "H" school. :fire:

LOL. I was wondering if they were gonna be in the poll or not. If he is going by school letter they are and H school. If he is going by the first letter in the school name than they are an M.

Where is Manual??????????

Where is Manual??????????

Is it not duPont Manual?

Obviously it is between Mayfield and Male and with the makeup of this board Male will probably run away with it.

Both have a lot of state titles and many many wins. I think on that list we had Male was #3 nation wide and and Mayfield was #7 or #9 nationwide in all time wins. That is impressive.

I have always said, per capita, what Mayfield has done through the course of history is about as remarkable as any high school team in the country. I may be a little bias in selecting Mayfield, but everyone examine in comparrsion to the size of the schools, resources, etc...

Slight (I mean the slightest) edge to Mayfield..

Is it not duPont Manual?

Honestly, I think it would belong in the 'M' category, and I believe most other Manual fans would agree... but it's too late for this particular poll as it was already in the D's.

If you were to call it duPont Manual, you might as well go all out and call it duPont Manual High School: The Magnet High School. (I hope the other Manual peeps appreciate that )

My first thought was Male but Mayfield will be my final answer. Nobody has done what they have done the past thirty years! I think at one point they had been to 24 of the last 27 final fours!

Is it not duPont Manual?

You're right...but I was looking for them because the Dupont is rarely used.

I voted for Middlesboro, because I am a Jacket alum.

If it wasn't for bias, I would've voted for Mayfield.

Not even a close decision. Male be a long shot.

Male, My kid is on the team.
