Monroe could have easily scored more. His FG% was terrible. He probably shot around 40 shots. Pouncy and Castleman not athletic? :lol::lol::lol: Pouncy is weak but quick and Bach will not know what to do when Physical Josh Castleman is all over him.

Also Scott will be more prepared as they only have to practice for Bach. Augusta needs to practice for mainly Jackson but also needs to work/prepare for the other threats from the Eagles like Castleman, Felts, and possibly Buckner.

When I saw the draw, I felt Augusta holds its own destiny to make it to the regional finals.

I can assure you that Brad Carr will have his team prepared for all of Augusta's personnel. Their staff has never overlooked anyone. Jason Hinson has done a fantastic job at Augusta and his players deserve every accolade they receive. Should be a dandy in The Fieldhouse tonight.

Let's be real everyone wants the under dog to win never the less a team like Augusta. I am guilty myself, I always root for the Eagles but it is nice to see them succeed.

How does having 8th Region officials impact this game?

 

After watching the 8th officials work the two games last night I came away with the following thoughts.

 

A) Don't shot fake and then put the ball down - Automatic traveling call.

 

B) Crash into the defensive bigs and they are automatic blocking calls.

There was a play last night where Alex Trentman was standing in the paint flatfooted with arms extended. Jefferson barely got to him to make contact - a no call at best - which was ruled a blocking call, and was awarded two free-throws. Situations like that and the automatic traveling calls cause me to lose confidence quickly.

To their credit they were consistent both ways.

 

I'm sure that Clyde will be on here shortly wanting film analysis in order to vindicate the 8th Region stripes. lol

Couldn't agree more on the shot fake. :lol::thumb: They called one on Burns (I think) that was just a good move.

 

Having said that, I also agree that they were pretty consistent both ways. I didn't have any major gripes with the officiating last night in either game.
