IMO if Holmes plays to full potential both halfs then games against HHS/CCH are 10-12 point margins, they just didn't do it....

I completely respect your opinion, however, you are hard pressed to convince me he is better than their 4th best starter.

 

My opinion:

 

Best college prospect -- Austin Hill. A man.

Best player at this level (and at their position) -- Duran Jefferson.

Best athlete / game-changer -- Arrez Henderson.

 

It is very hard to look at it that way, because each would not be the same without the others... It would be very hard for those three guys to play at the level they do without Rice's post presence IMO...

You're probably right, but then again, its not like CovCath played to their full potential either based on the reports I've heard, and they almost pulled it out on the dawgs home floor.

I believe the announcer has been around for a while. He has annoyed me year in and year out... but that creates part of the home court advantage don't you think?

CCH has scorers... but only 2 really consistant scorers - TJ and Tim (on most nights). Noll has a good shot, but nothing really special, he will do more damage inside stepping up his physical play lately. Young and Schult are not scorers, but do create good rebounding and physical play inside. Schult has always been physical and Young is starting to bang more and more.

I'm sure his gig plays well to the Holmes crowd. Most of the time it was so loud I couldn't understand what he was saying. Sounds like he has a good strong voice just gets way to carried away IMO..

How about the PA Announcer at the CCH games. I know he's an institution up there and highly thought of but either the sound system is really bad or he has the mike right up to his mouth.. Sort of sounds like that mumbling adult voice on the "Charlie Brown" Peanuts series T.V. shows.

I have Jack Kaelin for class (the CCH announcer), and I'll tell you, he's not the clearest speaker in the world.

Lol yea you're probably right, but you can't tell me you've seen a more professionally run freshman tournament in the commonwealth. Which i happen to work... not to brag.
