Hill Edmondson Henderson and Jefferson were all on the court and they couldn't score. Rice played big in the big time, he is better than a "good high school basketball player"... He does what is asked of him for his team... I don't think they exactly need another outside shooter...

Poked or elbowed in the eye. When he reentered he was basically playing with only full vision in one eye from what I understand.

:thumb: Best point yet. Some could argue Greg Rice was the best player on the floor in that first round game down in Rupp. He did it on this states biggest stage.

 

Since most people in the region think or thought Greg Rice is the best player 9th has to offer, don't you think this had something to do with Listerman not letting Rice beat them ?

I completely respect your opinion, however, you are hard pressed to convince me he is better than their 4th best starter.

 

My opinion:

 

Best college prospect -- Austin Hill. A man.

Best player at this level (and at their position) -- Duran Jefferson.

Best athlete / game-changer -- Arrez Henderson.

what about Hill towards the end of the game... He was hobbling a bit, but seemed to be the only one that could hit free throws...

Honestly I don't know which. It was after a whistle, as guys were heading back up court. He went down quick and hard right in front of us, and was clearly in a lot of pain.

 

No question, he was nowhere near 100% upon re-entry.

Seeding starting to take shape in the 35th with Holmes as the #1 and CCH #2. IMO I think Beechwood will end up with the 3 seed and Holy Cross will get a second chance at Holmes coming out of the 4 spot.. Just my opinion..

Looked like he had back / hip issues, but I didn't recall him hitting the deck earlier. They started right before halftime, in fact, he was the last player to leave the floor at intermission and was walking gingerly with a trainer at that point.

Austin Hill will play football from what I understand as of now. But that could change. Duran Jefferson and Henderson if he gets a deeper shot will both be playing at either mid major DI or good D2 programs.

Not apropos to this thread, but I will be shocked if Beechwood beats Holy Cross on February 8th (although the game being played at Beechwood doesn't hurt the Tigers any). For the record, I HOPE you are right.

Hill has had lower back issues all season. He has left every game I"ve attended at some point, to stretch his back out on the sidelines.

I know one thing if Holmes needs a basket they usually give the ball to Greg Rice about 12 feet out, I don't know to many teams that do that with their 4th best player.
