True. This should be one of Scott's best teams in a long time. I don't think I would put them in the top 5 up here but they will be an interesting team to watch this year.

SK returns most of their starters on defense they really only lost Swanson and Bowling on defense.

Cooper will be solid if they can fill a huge void at QB, could be Ludwig (strong arm but not mobile) or Nathan Brown (younger brother of BC's Trevan Brown) who is very mobile and a strong arm but no varsity experience. Bricking will get a shot to carry the load after being the hole opener for Collins the last two seasons. Morgan will be very difficult to cover again but somebody has got to get him the ball. He should be the Lockdown corner in all of NKY to go along with a very good secondary. Their line should be solid on both sides of the ball but they will have to step up.

 

A lil birdie also tells me that there is a strong possibility that a big time player from out of state may be moving to the area but more on this later....

 

Conner will be the front runner simply because of Drew but this district better watch out for South Oldham who has virtually everyone back with the exception of Sherry.

I hope you are right about Coopers line, that is the big question for me. Ludwig will be alright at QB, he and Fussinger and Morgan have played together for years and Ludwig and Fussinger have been a great combo in years past. Those 3 will put up some great numbers.

 

I am hoping Coach Burnett comes back and coaches the line again, he can definitely get the best out of the boys. I think he is the best line coach around.

 

I do get a kick out of Cooper being overlooked again by most people on here. 2 years ago they go undefeated in district and preseason last year no one picked them to do anything and weren't even in top 10 on here. They then simply go out and become state runner ups. Now this year they again are overlooked.

Losing this senior class is going to be a challenge for Coach Borchers. Some key players in key positions.

True, which is why my big question mark is how the Offensive and defensive lines will be for 2013. As far as the other losses, I believe many are forgetting that this team had many juniors playing key roles in last years team just like seniors.

The team is returning a RB that averaged 12.9 yards a carry and 7 TD's in Avery Bricking, the team is also returning their 2 starting WR's that had 9 TD's and 1000 yards receiving as well as both starting Corners and LB that helped this team become one of the best defensive teams in the state. So as I said, both lines will be a huge question mark, but if they can have any sort of success in the trenches they may have the shot at making another run for the district title.

 

It should be interesting, I could be eating crow but I also think you still have to give them some respect until proven otherwise after what they've done the last couple years.
