Is Hank Williams Jr. devoid of any talent?

Featured Replies

This is a very good post, and while I don't totally agree, you definitely nailed Randall Hank as far as knowing his audience. It's important for an entertainer to be able to figure that out, because it leads to longevity (or, it did in those days).

I won't, however, go with any of this crazy "most talented ever" stuff.

Notice I said most talented musician, not most talented singer or song writer. The guy is an amazing musician and IMO where his true talent really lies. Plus he is a hell of an entertainer, at least in the 80s he was.

Clyde, what you are basically saying is you don't like him, which is your opinion, but you're saying it as if it is a fact. Why try to make your opinion some sort of factual certainty? By every measure of a successful musician, he checks the box. In fact, his songs withstand the test of time, something I'd bet Taylor Swift's diddies won't do. He has been immensely popular for 30+ years, so while you may not like him, many do.

Yes, I like how he sings. I think "Kawliga" is a great example of his voice being unique and solid.

Who in the hell is Hank Williams Jr?

I guarantee you that Randy Moss knows.

I guarantee you that Randy Moss knows.

Randy Moss is probably close to a Clayton Bigsby with sight, hands and a 40" vertical also.

Clyde-liga was a wooden Indian standing by the door.

He fell in love with his own opinion over at the BGP store.

Clyde-liga just stood there and never let it show,

So the rest of the members could never answer "yes" or "no."

Poor ol' Clyde-liga, he never got a like.

Poor ol' Clyde-liga, he don't know what he missed.

Is it any wonder that his face is red?

Clyde-liga, that poor ol' wooden head.

What is FACT is that I don't think he has any ability to sing or write.

The Monkees were popular for a long time as well.

So basically you are saying it is a FACT that you have an opnion?

Well it's a FACT, that everyone has an opinion.

I shouldn't have to state the obvious but if I must....

It is my opinion that he has no talent when it comes to singing and songwriting.

Yeah, I got that a long time ago.

2 posts ago is a long time?

He can't sing. He can't write. The only difference between him and Elvis' daughter is that country fans are much more loyal.
