I don't care much for Hank's brand of politics but he was entertainer of the year in country music for a decade straight or more. Plus if I'm not mistaken he is a tremendous musician who can play just about every instrument there is. He's washed up now but in the day he was not devoid of any talent.

In fairness Clyde said this too:

I will agree on the musical instruments.

Clyde couldn't be further wrong on the talent comments. The mental midget comment is up for debate.

If his name was George W. Brooks he wouldn't have been President.

If his name was John F. Kingston he wouldn't have been President.

If her name was Hillary Cooper she wouldn't have been Senator from New York.

America specializes in holding people high for something they didn't necessarily accomplish on their own.

Clyde is devoid of muscial discernment. :p

That's one of the more ridiculous statements I've ever seen on here.

Is he an idiot? Most likely.

Should he keep his political beliefs to himself? I'd say so.

To say he's devoid of any talent however is just asinine.

Hank Jr is perhaps the most talented musician in country music, ever. The guy can play any instrument and play it well. I have seen him play every single intrument on stage during the course of a concert and never skip a beat, and usually while being about half drunk.

He is a master at writing and playing to his target audience. He is not going to appeal to fans of other genre's or even pop country, but he knows his audience and he played to them.

I'd argue that Hank Jr. is far more talented than any famous country singer out today.

In not a huge fan but he's a talented man.

His son, IMO, is much better.

Can't even believe there is an attempted debate on this.

Let's remove the ability to play instruments from the debate. We agree on that.

He can't sing. He can't write. The only difference between him and Elvis' daughter is that country fans are much more loyal.

So does Insane Clown Posse.

Should I give them talent credit for that?

Again, just a purely asinine statement.

You're saying you think he's a good singer?
