That was a solid team, but I don't think so. They would have finished 4th in the NKY Enquirer rankings behind Highlands, Ryle and Beechwood, right?

Hard to make that argument with losses to Beechwood and Ryle.

 

They played like garbage against Beechwood and still went into overtime. 6 turnovers vs. Ryle. I agree with you though. They were a Top 10 team, but I can't even dream to say Top 5.

Without reading all of the other posts.....I'll be that guy....I feel that we would have the most in the state.

Correct about beechwwod, played like crap and lost on a blown call on a dropped pass that the refs say the beechwood player caught. As for ryle, 6-7 turnovers and was a 27-7 loss i think. That ryle team split with highlands. At no point in that ryle game was ncc ever outmatched. If ryle coughed the ball up 7 times against ncc, ncc wins 42-7. Just saying.

Ryle did split with HHS, but HHS destroyed Beechwood. Ryle played the game of their lives in the last game of the season. They had a great game plan for the birds, executed it to a tee and did beat them though. Could HHS been looking past them to the playoffs?...I don't know. HHS beat them by 2.5 TD's in the first matchup. NCC had a solid team, but I just don't think they were even the best in NKY that year.

HHS would have won all of the titles if there had just been one class, we all know that!

Don't try to sell that NCH would have kept it close against a dominant Trinity squad by saying they lost a close game against Beechwood or that having 6-7 turnovers somehow justifies losing by 20 to Ryle. Trinity would have beaten either of those teams (and NCH) by pretty much whatever they wanted...and I am no big Trinity fan.

HHS beat cc 27-20. NCC beat them 38-30. Just like you played bad against Beechwood and you say Beechwood played the game of their life, I bet if you ask a Cov cath fan, they will say NCC played the game of their life and Cov Cath played like crap!
