Cooper 60 Ryle 24

Featured Replies

Coopers defense was outstanding. No fg's given up in the first half and a running clock at the start of the 4th. Great job by the Jags as they lock up the 1 seed in the district. I agree with others as it looks like the coach has lost his team.

Huge difference from just 2-3 weeks ago. Tight 1st game and an absolute beat down the 2nd. Who would have thunk it!!!

Coopers 1st win at Ryle in 5 years. Congrats to Coach Sully and Blevins. Cooper fans showed up big also. Fun night for Cooper

It was actually a running clock one minute into the 3rd once they reached 35 point lead. The announcer made mention between 3rd and 4th quarter because Ryle students kept yelling to stop the clock during the 3rd. I can understand them not knowing the rule but not sure why they didn't want the clock to run in the first place as it was a complete beat down.

I remember watching games the first couple of years of Cooper sports and seeing the beat downs by several teams and I said then that one day the tables will turn.

I can honestly say the game wasn't as close as the final score, wow!! JV played a lot of minutes for Cooper as well.

I remember the first game between Cooper and Ryle in 2009 with a final score of 75-17 and Mullins was still pressing with 2 minutes left in the game. Sounds like Sully took it easy on them. Karma is a ........

Wow, I didn't know about the first time they played in 2009. I hear Cooper got all their JV players in the game. Glad there is at least 1 classy coach in that game tonight.

Congrats Coach Sully and the Jags for getting a much deserved #1 seed.

Alan has always been kind to me and a good guy to briefly chat with. I'd never say anything bad about the guy.

With that, it may be good for ALL involved, including Alan, if there was new blood. I suggested it last year. Regardless of the "why" there's too much drama and negativity around the program.

Two coaches in a row with drama and negativity. Make you wonder what coach can succeed in Union.

Sullivan :D

Tough week for Mike Flynn and Alan Mullins maybe they should grab a cup of coffee this morning and compare notes.

I heard Drew not starting had to do with back issues but honestly that doesn't make sense to me considering how well he played against Holmes Tues. I talked to him Thurs night and he was fine.

Drew is a really nice young man. It's truly sad to see the season go from promise and a 5-1 start to a verifiable debacle. Congrats to Cooper and Coach Sully, an outstanding coach and person who does a GREAT job with coaching, motivation and character-building. He gets it and I am very happy for him and Randy Cooper nation! Best wishes for continued success to the Jags. Raiders, keep your heads up and never look up.

Agreed on both comments.

Had the chance to talk to Drew and get to know him a little bit and I was definetly surprised. Very well spoken and polite. Didn't expect anything less but his demeanor on the court is much different than his personality.

Walter, are you talking about Lou? Drew Shelton started yesterday. Lou didn't play. Or are you talking about Drew on Ryle? My bad, too many Drews lol

Cooper rolls into Falmouth Wednesday night to play Pendleton County. Excited to see this bunch...hopefully Lou will play.

It had nothing to do with his back. His back is fine.
