To be fair PP, I think both Covcath and Newcath are legit choices for the 15-20 range and I'm not a fan of either.

 

Newcath is likely going to win the All A State Championship. (Knott Co will be tough to get by in the semi's)

 

Covcath has played a pretty tough schedule but still has a very good record. I'm not as impressed with their WW and Taft wins as some of the CCH fans are, but the Moeller win is a good win. They would easily be top 20 in KY and beat the majority of the teams listed in this poll, outside the top 10.

 

The problem is, as you guys have stated, there are 10-12 other teams that could make a claim for the same 5 spots. The only rankings that matter in the end are who finishes #1 in March.

Thank you for your insight. I agree that NewCath and CovCath are top 20 worthy. I think there are 25-30 teams top 20 worthy. Trying to sort them out is fun though.

 

 

I have no clue about Moeller or how good they would be against Ky teams and regardless of what people may think google is not going to answer that question for me. Your statement helps a bunch. How good is Roger Bacon? I see they are 14-1 but ranked lower than teams with worse records. I know they play Moeller soon. Should I just await that result to answer that question.

I have been defending it. You said my logic was flawed. I'm still waiting for someone with definitive evidence that CovCath should be higher than LexCath or Lafayette. I can't even find out from you Cincy experts how good Roger Bacon is.

 

I still think CovCath's schedule is crap. Hell, theoldguy mentioned they played GRC. You don't brag about playing GRC this year you forget it happened(sorry, Goldie). Every good team he mentioned they lost to and those other teams he mentioned aren't worth mentioning. They didn't even get a signature win until last weekend. My fault. They didn't beat a ranked Ky team until last weekend and they beat that team by 2. Does LexCath have a signature win over a ranked Ky team anymore than CovCath? Nope. But they did beat Dunbar by 27 points and considering Dunbar is one of the 'on the radar teams' like CovCath is that is an impressive win and gave them the nod over CovCath for the #20 spot.

I discuss. I'm from the 12th region and I think Pulaski County and Wayne County could possibly be better than CovCath.

 

 

I probably follow Boyle County more than anyone but since my son has graduated I follow a lot of teams. Been having fun watching different teams play this season. Helps me formulate my stupid statements. Never knew I had to go out of state to make them less stupid.
