Saint X did lose in the first round of LIT,but it was by 4 points to top 10 ranked Fairdale, who lost in the semis to Trinity in OT.

Great conversation.

I still think Ballard is the better team. :D

Plus Trinity is Ballard's only loss to a Ky team. I can't penalize Ballard for that. I hope there is a rematch.

Also, had Trinity not won the LIT but made the finals they likely would have stayed at 5 since they lost to St. X since the last poll. St. X did get a slight bump for beating Trinity despite their showing in the LIT.

I would too. Just showing the list of teams that one could argue to be in those 15-20 spots. Even taking JC off still leaves so many teams to choose from for those last 5 spots.

Yeah I'm not disagreeing with you or anything. Just giving my opinion on those teams because I've watched them more than once. I'm leaning towards Pikeville or Lawrence Count to win the 15th Region at this point. Unless JC gets things turned around.

True. I think St. X is fairly accurately ranked.

Well, as always, this has been a blast to read after a long day on the road. Kinda makes my day end with a little humor. When you get to the teams outside of the top 10 it really is a toss up with the next 20 trying to slot them. I have opinions, but they are pretty invalid because I have only seen a few games. I compare scores, then all the polls, then the BGP posters which most of us have biases, and then think who the heck really knows. WE ALL DO! We all know in March we'll find out. There will be surprises, but we also know about half of the top 10 won't get to Rupp because of like regions. Keep posting these rankings, so I can have a good laugh.

Will do.

I'm geeked about next week.:D

A two point loss that took place in Pikeville. I think we can safely write that off as a school from Louisville getting jobbed up in the hills. :D

That was against Henry Clay. I'm going out on a limb here but I really don't think 15th region officials care about Louisville or Lexington schools.

Inside joke. :D

Kind of. :D

Curious as to the reasoning behind having these two ahead of Covington Catholic.

What are the good wins that LexCath has had?

Cov Cath got humiliated by MOCO could be one reason? Call me crazy.

Losing by 10 is humiliated?

They lost to a team that's in the top 10. I'd hardly use that as a basis for placing them behind a LexCath team with no big wins.

The score was 10, but everybody that was there knows it was good old fashion beat down. MOCO was up 21 with 4 min to go in 4th qtr. Thats when all heck broke out. If the fight didnt happen, it would have been 20.

If you want to play the "if" game go right ahead. CCH battled and it back down to 10.

It also doesn't change the bigger picture and the actual question I answered.

What basis is there to put LexCath ahead of CCH?

It was one of the funniest posts I've seen on here in a long time. Well done.
