You want the cold hard truth, people in NKY think that basketball in NKY is better than what basketball in NKY is in reality.

Here's a for instance, and you can go check the threads around late January/early February of last season with posters from NKY griping about the lack of respect given Boone County, etc. The play the BGP ranked 16th team in the state tourney and get waxed by nearly 20. Was Boone a top 20 team? Perhaps, but not by much if so. My point is that because a team is undefeated doesn't mean much if the schedule they've played isn't worth a hoot. In my humble opinion, if Holmes or NCC or Cooper played in the 7th, they'd be above .500 but not much more. But keep on griping about the ranking, it's better reading anyway.

Seriously Tiger, take the time to look at the schedules of the top several teams. See if you think Holmes schedule stacks up. There's really no bias against Holmes here, only saying the same things that Walter and others have said. Holmes may win that region, and I readily admit I haven't seen them (yet) but I would venture an educated guess that they are not the overwhelming favorites. Perhaps they are the best team in the region, but there's no way anyone would be surprised if someone else went to Rupp from the 9th.

Did you notice that CovCath defeated NCC at NCC and that a team that CovCath played and lost to at St X defeated "T" on a neutral floor?

 

Both were in your top twenty. So if your logic plays out about playing a better schedule, CovCath since they have played a rather good schedule, (if you include the quality of the Ohio teams we have played and defeated) CovCath should be a top twenty team?

 

I mean if Holmes isn't because of their schedule, then CovCath should because of their schedule? :idunno::confused:
