Bragging rights to NKY are pretty useless. It has been a long time since we won a State Championship in girls basketball.(not counting the All A of course)

.

Besides bragging rights in NKY, what else is there. I didn't think any NKY team has ever won state. I think Highlands is the only team to make it to the state finals in the 90's.

I checked out of this discussion but I had I not checked out I would have said you are right!

Correct. 1994 M.C. Napier 88 Highlands 56

We could sit on here all day long and debate the order nky teams should be in but does it really matter?????? Yes it kinda gives you a glimpse of what people are saying and thinking about all the teams and were all hoping our team will be up towards the top but really until the year is over with and we all look back and see where our teams finished it doesnt matter. Cause if any of these teams ranked in the top ten ( in some peoples opinions) go and lose then Im assuming we'll have to start all over again and relign the list????? Its girls high school basketball..... Anyone can beat anyone on a given night! I just hope when the year is over my daughters team was successful and she had a good time and got better.

The whole purpose of polls is to stimulate traffic on this site!

I would also add that there are a lot of hard working coaches out there working for next to nothing, making family sacrifices, who appreciate the recognition when it is merited.

I know its to get people to reply and carry it on but go through this site and look at all the other conversations. Theres ALOT to chat about on this site. And I understand coaches do alot, I used to coach high school and i know the sacrifices but when I coached it wasnt the BGP site I went to to check rankings. I know its a site to chat about all of our opinions and Im guilty as everyone else on here reading things but Im just stating about the rankings that it doesnt really matter until the season is over and where your team finished. Like I said.... Anyone can beat anyone on a given night.

I can feel myself getting sucked back into this discussion. Holy Cross just beat Brossart on their home court. NDA recently handled Highlands with ease. And I still hate polls. BTW SK deserves the top spot and still no Gallatin love.

You put alot of common sense into this.
