I would move Simon Kenton to #2 and drop Walton Verona to #9. They are a different team without Sandlin.

 

Might be a little premature for SK to be ranked that high. They really don't have a high quality win other than the win over Walton. Granted, they were in a position to win against both Monroe County and especially Bowling Green, but they fell short both times.

 

I don't know about NCC but SK handled both Highlands and Conner last year, and SK only lost one senior. Time to prove it on the court though!

But that one senior was pretty darn good and a big part of what they did. HHS lost one senior too and has their starting guard back this season that didn't play against SK last year. You can spin just about anything, but so can the other guy.

Actually, I believe SK @ 4 is about right. They keep winning, but sometimes they don't look like they play well at all. Ryle and Boone do not belong in the top 10. If you consider Gallatin County NKy, then they should be somewhere between 7 - 10. Holy Cross should also be 7 - 10.

I think Simon Kenton has a good team BUT..... Lets see in the next few weeks when they really hit there strength of there schedule. Im not taking nothing away from them now but I wanna see what they can do in the next few weeks.

Looks pretty good. This weekend will tell us a lot about 2 and 3. I like how you put Holmes in the picture. They are getting better and got some players back. Walton will get Sandlin back very soon, and could be a reason to keep them at about where you got them. I had heard Ryle had some injuries, perhaps they would move them down a little. All in all, it pretty much is a snap shot of where things are right now. SK and Conner are close to the testing part of their schedules and it will be interesting to see who can remain unblemished and keep their higher rankings.

Except for the fact that 3 of the teams in the poll could end up in Bowling Green.

Bragging rights to NKY are pretty useless. It has been a long time since we won a State Championship in girls basketball.(not counting the All A of course)

 

Winning a Region is a nice prize so until we break this discussing into Regional discussions I will simply check out. Good luck to all you NKY fans, brag on.
