December 24, 201213 yr Lots of improvement needed for the Steelers in this offseason. Lots of new faces next year no doubt. Having Taylor today would have made a difference. There's no way I'd play him now in the final game. Again, congrats to the Bengals. I'll remember LRCW next season. The tide will turn, of that I'm sure. 8-8 is what I predicted, hoping I was wrong. Ben can blame no one but himself today, he made critical mistakes two weeks in a row. Tired of the OC/Ben drama. IF I'm right, I bid a fond adieu to Casey Hampton, one of my all time faves who likely will wear a different uni next year. Same may go for Harrison (although I doubt it) and Max Starks. I bid a good riddance to Mendenhall and Wallace. Both need to depart. I'd take their money and sign the RFA Keenan Lewis who had a breakout season in the secondary.
December 24, 201213 yr I can't believe they found a way to win. Great effort by the D. Thats what I been saying this team is different than past Bengal teams. Yes they still have their flaws obviously, but they are a very young and very talented team. They don't care about the past Bengal teams and how they found ways to lose. This team doesn't let bad plays phase them or dictate how the rest of the game will go like past teams. They just go out and keep playing, which is what is so great about this team and what good teams do. They still may not win a playoff game this year, because the way it looks they will be going to New England which will be very tough. However the future is very bright for this bunch.
December 24, 201213 yr Even your boy Andy Dalton who struggled all game long played his best in the 4th. Dalton was 9 of 13 for 107 yards in the 4th quarter. Not to mention his arm was plenty strong enough to throw the hardest route for a QB the 20 yard deep out to put them in position for the game winning field goal. No doubt he has to get better and more consistent, but he did make plays when it mattered most.
December 24, 201213 yr Did our last-minute Christmas shopping at Florence Mall yesterday. They have one of those novelty t-shirt places. It was tough to pass up the shirt in solid orange saying "Even God hates the Steelers".

December 24, 201213 yr Back to back playoffs. Now if we can play strong in the playoffs. Don't hold your breath. I believe we will face the PAtriots in the 1st round and get embarrassed once again in the first round. Bengals beat a bad Steelers team and once again haven't proved they can beat teams with winning records. We'll see. The last 2 games they played showed how bad our offense truly is. Dalton can't throw don=wn field with any consistency and no running game means they need a lot of improvement if they want to advance. This season like man others under Marvin Lewis thiis Bengals team has only beaten 1 team with a winning record and that was the Redskins with a rookie QB in his 2nd NFL start. Hate me for telling the truth if you will, but until they can consistently beat teams with winning records, Marvin will never convince me he has a clue on how to be a HC.

You do realize if the two teams with Super Bowl winning QB's in the Giants and Steelers had just beaten the Bengals. Then they both would have winning records and looking good to make the playoffs. Which as we know if those teams make the playoffs they can make a serious run at it. How you get to the playoffs does not matter, all the matters is getting there then anything is possible. The only reason why the Giants and Steelers are going to sit at home this year is because they couldn't beat the Bengals. So if the Giants and Steelers had beaten the Bengals and made the playoffs, they all of a sudden would have been good teams now? Your thinking makes perfect sense...I know its hard for people to let it sink in their head that the Bengals are a good team, but they are. If they still were a bad team those teams I just mentioned would have beaten them and be in the playoffs like they normally are. The only difference is the Bengals are now good and why they are now going to be sitting at home.
