Coach Perry should get it but it sounds like there is an inner circle that wants to go outside the program.

I like Coach Perry alot,but IMO I think it's time for new blood.Someone that will get more Kids to come out...Over the last few years to many good football players gave up football just to play baseball,hopefully with a new coach this may change.:thumb:

He also left many marks on my Cards, may have drove Jack Morris to retirement

Agreed. The program needs a fresh new start IMO.

I've heard that If Chuck is not at UK next year, they will still have to pay him. I believe if he takes another job he would lose the UK money. If Chuck is not at UK, IMO he will not coach at all next year and take the year off with a good pay check and look at his options for 2014.

If I am a AD I would not much care for the way he left but with all the good he did there on the field it would be hard to be mad

Good luck to Coach Harp and welcome to District 9-AAA. Great new school and facilities at Lebabon. Tough district, however, with the defending Class 5A state champions (2012 and 2009) plus the 2010 Class 5A Runners-Up and the 2011 & 2012 Class 6A Semi-Finalists.

Coach Perry was named the Coach in waiting a few years back. Don't know if that still stands or not.

 

There is just as many kids who have gave up baseball just to play football over the last few years. This not just happening at Danville, happening all over. The kids who play multiple sports are alot less than it was several years ago and if they do they give up alot. Pretty much all sport have become year around now. I'm not sure if thats a good thing or not, but it sure hurts the sports at the smaller schools.

 

Also heard Griag Yeast and Clay Clevengers names brought up tonight. Both have alot of ties to the area.

I would think that Clevengers might be someone they would go after.

Wow. Honestly never thought I'd see the day Harp was no longer coaching at Danville. Figured he'd retire there.

This state would be wise to do everything possible to keep people & coaches that possess the qualities of Coach Harp.
