I'm not sure what was expected that he didn't deliver on. In my opinion he was the most solid position coach on the staff the entire time he was there.

 

Now that being said, this is not high school, assistant coaches don't carry over from staff to staff and it doesn't matter how good he did his job he has no ties with Stoops so he has no job.

 

I hope he gets Morehead and he will do a great job.

I think Stoops is doing a good job of exciting the fan base. He is building excitement by the style of play. Hats off to him

So far only Eliot as DC and Brown as OC has been named officially by UK but many have been leaked as done but not entirely official. Erik Korem will be a director type role. John Scharman will be OLine coach (played at UK). Chad Scott will be RB coach (played at UK). Darin Hinshaw is thought to be brought on as WR coach, and Bradley Dale Peveto as the secondaries coach... This is a slam dunk staff that will get UK on the up and up.

Reports are saying that Nebraska TE Coach Vince Marrow will join Kentucky's Staff at the same position.

 

 

Btw, Texas Tech is already losing commitments, lets see if Kentucky goes after any of them.

an Update on Vince Marrow, he's up in the air, he doesn't know if he wants to leave, move his kids to a new school, moving in general, etc. etc. but their still a huge chance he comes. He's a big time recruiter in Ohio and already has 5 commitments for Nebraska from Ohio

I am curious if we hear that 2014 QB DG Gillins of FL now considers UK. He committed to TexTech.

I love the hire of Stoops! This is the kind of hire I was talking about a few years ago when Brooks retired that UK should have made. An up and coming coach that could possibly bring more excitement and the chance of taking another step forward. He might not be able to do it, but I think this is the type of hire that should have happened after Brooks retired.
