December 12, 201213 yr Have you watched the TFS, Air Raid stuff? Their trademark is going up to the line of scrimmage in a formation, letting the defense get lined up, then the entire offense stands back up to get the call from the offense. I'm not saying it as a negative. Heck, I like that fact of it. Line up....see what you are going to give defensively, then call a play where the defense "isn't". Go to where they aren't. I'm just saying if you didnt like the looking over the defense every play like they did under Joker, then I don't know if the new stuff will be any more appealing. I was watching the Army and Navy game, and both of them were doing ^^^, also, especially Navy. Most option teams check at the line also, but it's not as pretty as 5 wide. They actually snap the ball under center; heaven forbid that. I've coached in the system and the standing back up and looking didn't happen more than 5~7 plays per game, so they will not be looking over every time. Heck when they go nascar hurry up O they could care less what the D is doing. Play fast and find grass.
