14 posts in and no one has answered my question seriously ... who is Scott Daniel? Position? Accomplishments? (Yes, I know he plays for Scott Co. I can read)

 

Scott Daniel is a WR/Safety for SC. He is one of about 6 kids that play for SC that look like they could win state track events. Very fast, very effective secondary player. Stats per maxpreps:

Scott Daniel is a much better football player than James Quick. Daniel is WAY faster than Quick in the 100 yard dash. I hear Ohio State is really pursuing Scott Daniel big time. Scott Daniel, you know, is the all-time leading receiver in the state of Kentucky and the only player in state history to score a touchdown in the state championship 4 years in a row. Wait a minute... am I getting these two kids mixed up?

Scott is a very good player and athlete for Scott County. Wide receiver, saftey, kickoff returns and punt returns. Should be a candidate for Mr. Football next year, problem is not widely known as you can see. Would put him up against anyone yes even Mr Quick. Not saying he is better he just has the heart to compete and does not shy away.

Wrong. Quick had 195 receptions going into the season (check KHSAA website last updated Aug 9, 2012). Quick then caught 85 passes in 2012. My math says that equals 280 receptions, 14 more than Montrell.

Admittedly not knowing what other numbers may have been put up around the state in 2012, Quick's numbers this season appear to place him third all-time in receiving yardage (4,434) and touchdown receptions (57).

Gerad Parker graduated many years ago.

 

I had no clue who Mr. Parker was, so I looked him up. FYI - he is #3 on the all time reception list behind Montrell Jones and the new state record holder James Quick.
