Why would Pendleton want to be part of NKY if it's this big of a deal. Who needs em?!

I think a lot of this stems from the fact that the Wildcats finally have a good team after years of being so-so.

 

With this being said, the Wildcats are extremely supported by their rabid fanbase. That to me is worth any poll that they could ever be listed in!! :thumb:

 

I was amazed at the crowd they drew to the Sweet Sixteen last year!!

I think PC should be considered Northern kentucky. In the past they haven't played as many teams from Northern Kentucky but recently their schedule includes many of the Northern Kentucky teams and not to mention their two biggest rivals are Cambell County and Bishop Brosart.

Look at a map and imagine you're anywhere but Campbell, Kenton and Boone Counties; and tell me what part of the state you think they're in???? You're telling me Scott High School, probably 5-6 miles from Cincinnati as the crow flys isn't in NKY because they're not in the 9th region anymore???? WOW--Obviously not many geography majors out there!!

Pendleton County is in Northern Kentucky imo, unless NK is limited to three counties, which I don't see how that could be. NK covers a large area.

Finally! I have been waiting for someone to say that. If Northern Ky is limited to three counties then lets consider Pike County as the only county in Eastern Ky. How about we do this: have Pendleton, Grant, Gallatin, Carroll, Bracken, Robertson, and Mason form their own little area and we can call it Northwesteastern Ky and then we can have our own poll.

Maybe we should do it by Congressional District.

As I have said in the past. Pendletons most northern point is farther north then Boone, Kenton, and Campbells most southern point.

It don't matter! In Kentucky there is only two kinds of teams...#1. Mountain Teams #2. The rest.

Why would you want to limit NKY to 3 counties, yet dump everyone else into CKY? It makes no sense! No Pendleton isn't part of the Greater Cincy area, but they are NKY whether you like it or not! Just look at the map if you have any questions!

Honestly, I think that Mason Co. and anything west thereof is NKY and anything east is EKY! It doesn't necessarily matter what district or region you play in! Anything south of Pendleton and Grant is CKY and Pendleton and Grant and any school north of them are NKY!

I agree with you 100%.

It seems to me that there are several bits of info to align ourselves (Pendleton County) with Northern Kentucky. First off the Northern Kentucky ADD District includes Pendleton. The Post and Enquirer are both delivered in Pendleton County. The school District is considered to be in Northern Kentucky. The State Medical and Dental Societies are both included in the Northern Kentucky Group. Pendleton County has the same Senator and Congressman in Washington. The state senator and representative for Campbell County also represent Pendleton County as well. I could go on forever with these comparisons.

If Pendleton had a bad team the Northern Ky. supporters would not care then. The problem is they do not want to admit that a former patsy is now a more than formidable opponent and is quite possibly the best team in Northern Kentucky.

The funny thing is there is no reward for being Northern Kentucky Poll Champ at the end of the year. Unfortunately last year's champ Brossart was knocked out in the first game of the district.

Therefore, the entire issue is moot and the Pendleton County Wildcats will do their best to do their talking on the floor by their performance.

Are you joking me. I can't believe there is a discussion where you are deciding if a school is NKY team. I think my home school should be considered the Midwest part of NEKY. Who cares?
