Not sure on eligibility.

Why Cordia and where is this school?

Cordia is actually in Knott County, part of thier county system. They didn't consolidate when Carr Creek, Knott County, and Hindman combined in the mid 1970's because they were located a good distance from the new school. But they do have a Hazard address. Their high school enrollment is around 125.

Rhodes coached there last year and didn't make very much happen. He was suspended for part of the season.

It's still a Knott County school though, several miles from Hazard.

Gotcha. It uses a Hazard mailing address but it's in a different county?

It is.

A mile or so inside the Knott County line. 18 miles from Hindman (Knott county seat) by the best road. 11 miles from Hazard (Perry county seat) by the best road.

A lot closer as the crow flies.

Another similar story coming soon...

I guess in Canadian elementary schools, Kentucky is described as the land of milk and honey.
