Donovan McCoy was absolutely at his best tonight. How many third and long situations were converted with beautiful passes? I literally lost count.

I have to humbly disagree with you on this. I was there, and the white hat was an absolute embarrassment. The things he chose to overlook vs. the things he chose to call, well, I don't know how to explain it.

I was just responding to another poster wanting someone to elaborate. Regarding who played well, HHS did whatever they wanted on offense all night long. Not sure if they punted at all. McCoy had over 200 yards rushing and a fair amount passing- I would think HHS had 500-600 total yards at least. LexCath's offense moved the ball well too. Evidently, the sophomore QB was very impressive. If not for a couple of drops by LexCath WR's, he would have even put more on the board. The HHS announcers could also not understand why LexCath did not give the ball to their RB more often. They were very impressed with him.

I understand the that referee situation is important, but I have just seen too many threads go south because of this. I do respect everyone's opinion of the refereeing/sportsmanship, I would just hate to see that become the focus of this thread. Sounds like McCoy had an incredible game. This may be up for dispute, but I think he is one of the best football athletes to come along at Highlands in a long time. Obviously Towles was great, as were many others, but I could tell after seeing McCoy play freshman football, that he was going to be special.

Donovan has been an outstanding high school QB. He is 1 of several great signal callers to play QB for the Birds. Good luck next week in BG.

No Drew Houliston who will be a senior is maybe 6'1 and 180lbs..The frosh qb this year is about 6'4 210..
