HHS O had 9 possessions. 1 fumble on the 1st play of a drive started by a LC int (by Cochran) & 1 kneel on the final play of the game. When your TD efficiency is 9/10 or 9/11, you are not going to lose many games.

 

A key play was LC's decision to go on 4th down with about 1:00 left in the first half down 28-14 but getting the ball to start the 2nd half. Blame goes 3 ways: 1st to the coach for trying it. Some will call it aggressive. I think it smelled of desperation (and said so at the time). 2nd to the QB for not running for the 1st down and out of bounds to stop the clock. I realize he is a soph, but you have to know the important play is to get a fresh set of downs. 3rd to the RB who dropped a perfect pass that could have been a TD. Just a physical mistake.

 

HHS scores with :01 on the clock and the game is never really in doubt after that.

I have already put input this thread. But I have a personal policy of not bantering about individual players in a negative light. That could go on in any game and any time.

Lets not forget the line and great blocking by the running backs 3 guys with over 100 years rushing. That's ridiculous.

Lex Cath has to hope for another realignment if they have any chance for a state title in the near future. They are not even close to playing at Highlands level and with the obvious lack of discipline displayed last night, they won't get there anytime soon.

I think the coaches from Lexington Catholic need to set a better example for their players. Their players on the sidelines were using fowl language and rude jestures. You would think they would be taught better than that.

I hope the Lex Cath coaches view the game tape in great detail. I have never seen an O- Lineman block by head butting the D-line the entire play.In todays game with the focus on concussions I really hope the kid was not coached to do this.

I completely agree with McCoy being one of the best, I have watched him play since pee wee ball. I don't agree with the offence being sick. How do you think he has so much time to throw for that much yardage and who do you think is opening the holes for him to follow?

All of the line deserves praise, they are the back bone! How abt the guy who coaches them! Scott Turner (Newport '87 grad) just plain smart! This staff is filled with quality coaches! Wayne Hall & Ryan Swope (Bellevue grads), Shelby Jones (Frankfort Western Hills), Weinrich, Dill, Behymer, Evans, Reed, Court (Highlands), Lynch & Leopold (?)... I know I missed a couple, but this staff is loaded!
