With the great publicity Morehead had with last years NCAA performance it was almost taken away by one person in a short period of time. As I mentioned, it is telling others that Morehead will take care of the situation, as well as tell the coaches they are not going to help groom another Bobby Knight.

If he said that word that begins with F and followed it by a you, then I could possibly see going off, if it's just that word by itself there are many other ways he could have handled it. For one, send him to the locker room. Question, if this was Billy Clyde doing the same thing at Rupp to Meeks, would people think Billy was okay to do it? I think not.

Reputation goes a long way and Woods acted like this at MVSU so Morehead knew what they were getting.
November 23, 201213 yr If that comment by the player was indeed that foul, there's a much better way to deal with his attitude. He would get some splinters. That likely would send a more clear message to his teammates that coach don't play that. Either way, I agree with FMKY, it was a PR move by the university, whether they thought it was warranted or not. My bet is that they likely told Woods as much.
November 23, 201213 yr Suspensions notwithstanding, I think Woods looks like a fool when he goes Lou Pinellia on a player.
November 23, 201213 yr I have mixed feelings about the suspension. Like others have mentioned, this was only done so that MSU could save face with all the national media attention they received. Coach Woods should dial it down some now though.
