By the way the Holmes crowd was pretty much non existent. I would imagine the only fans they had were parents of the players or cheerleaders. Do they usually have no fan support on the road?

Three hour drive...cold...and the underdog. Not too many Holmes students are going to make that trip. They usually have a decent following on the road up here in nky.

I am not surprised at the Ashland win but I am surprised at the points Ashland scored. Holmes' defense has been pretty good. I would call this a separation game for Ashland in my view of them. If they score that many that easily against Holmes, then their offense has some power.

I will disagree with my guy VOR a bit on Holmes' D.

 

Gave up 31 to SK. 29 to Cooper. 57 to Highlands. 49 to CCH.

 

They're OK at best. Holmes is an average team and had a decent year.

Ashland is also without their standout freshman RB Quentin Baker who has a lower leg injury and in a boot from what I was told. He's the son of former UK RB Al Baker. He has another gear and when he has a seam, it's tough to find anyone who can catch him.
