My vote is for Bull Durham. Aside from great #'s, his leadership on and off the field are unquestioned.

The Camels record don't help though.

SK's QB Brenan Kuntz or DB/KR Jared Swanson or LB Jared Bowling take your pick. A big win tonight over Scott County will help their vote! :sssh:

Man you really are clueless.

I think Durham. CC may not win a game without him. Of course, this is player of the year, not MVP. Barker is going to be hard to argue against, though. And the other's mentioned aren't exactly slouches.

Fogle would have my vote 100% if he didn't miss the past two games. Now, I think you can make a legitimate case for any of the other players mentioned above.

I'd have to agree. Especially if you think that he missed Scott and Grant County (both stat padding games, no offense). I still think he is worthy. No one else on that list is:

1) As versatile. The kid plays Running Back, Wide Reciever, Corner, Safety, Kick Returner, Punt Returner and Punter. And he does it all extremely well. I'm not sure people can fully appreciate just how difficult this is.

2) As explosive. It is well documented that he ran several low 4.4 40s. If you want a big play, Fogle is NKY's Quick or Timmons. He has 49 carries for 544 yards and 11 TD's and 39 receptions for 653 yards and 5 TD's. Throw in a KOR for a TD as well.

3) Tougher to stop. I've been to 3 Conner games and all 3 games teams have game-planned specifically for Fogle. I've seen safety help over-top of him all year, yet he's still successful. The reason why is that he is a deep threat, however he is just as successful if you get him the ball at the line of scrimmage.

P.S. Remember those stats are in 7 games.

If we are going best = most valuable to their team, give me Durham. No way CC is sitting in the captain's seat in NKY 6A without him.

Don't sleep on Hayes from NCC. NCC has had more injuries than any other team and even with mass injuries to the offensive line he still has put up ridiculous numbers. He is also their best defensive player. Would the QB's on this list put up the numbers they have if they were missing 3/5's of their line? Also, Nussbaum, if healthy would have crazy numbers. No one on SK's team is deserving and that is coming from a guy who coached them in Middle School. Bowling is one of the best players/young man I have ever been around but because of the losses to teams they should of beat (Dixie/C.C.) I can't vote for them. Barker and Fogle take/split votes away from each other. Both are tremendous players. A name I am suprised not to see on this list is the Morris kid from Cooper. He is their QB and Safety on a very, very good defense. Just my opinion and everyone has one and some smell worse than others.

Tough to argue against that. Imagine NCC w/out Hayes? They might be the 3rd seed in their district!

My vote would go to Hayes from NCC. He has had some injuries but also has put up over 1,000 yds and 17 tds.

He's extremely important, sort of like Chris Kelly from a couple of years ago.

McCoy would have a lot better numbers if he didn't have so much other talent around him.He doesn't have to do everything for them to be successful..He could be doing a lot more if he needed too.

He does it all, is tough as they come, and the Birds would be a completely different team without him. Finest football player in NKY, I say.

I voted Bir, only because another was left off the list.

I said all year I thought Fogle was one of the best players in the area, but there is another who was actually left off the list who has meant more to his team than possibly anyone else except for Bir and that is AJ Collins.

He has already rushed for 1013 yards for a 6.9 yard per carry avg and 9 TD's along with 4 more TD's receiving.

I think AJ Collins should deffinatley be on the list.

Though all that are mentioned, and some that were not, are deserving....best player on the best team: Donovan "Moose" McCoy :ylsuper:

Tough choice for me between Durham and Bir. I lean towards Durham. The rushing leader in N. Ky. and also has over 1,000 yards passing. Led his team and program to 2 district titles after some down years.

As to Nussbaum, despite being injured and missing several games, he has 1009 yards rushing averaging 10.7 YPC. He also has scored 14 TD's and thrown for 2 or 3 as well. That compares favorably to Hayes' numbers, who is in the poll and getting consideration.
