Irish fight on! :D

Based on the way that most of the season has went, I believe that it's fair to say that this is Notre Dame's biggest challenge yet. I'm hoping that they win and believe that they can, but think that it is going to take a solid game all the way through on both sides of the ball. I know that the Irish have played great defensively, but they will need offense in this one too. Regardless of who wins, it will be pretty close IMO.

What is going to crack me up is all the ND haters will be out in full force with the, "I told you so" talk if they lose this Saturday. When in reality most ND fans, even on here, realize the Irish are seriously flawed. Most things I see show Oklahoma being favored by up to 10 points, yet it will portrayed that ND is the favorite.

Oklahoma 27-17.

Nobody has played a tougher schedule than ND!

The Irish will definitely have their hands full this weekend. I tend to disagree with the thoughts of some on here regarding the Irish Offense. I believe that their offense is pretty good....WHEN THEY RUN THE BALL!!!!!!! Their pass offense is really bad, but yet they continue to throw it like the Kardashian Girls at an NBA open gym!!!

Riddick and Wood make for a solid tandem. If they can effectively run the ball they can control the tempo.

ND has been in bend, but don't break mode the past 2 weeks. That won't work this week. If they can establish the running game against OU, and stop that offense, they win. If not, it's gonna be a long day in Norman.

OU prevails 34-20

Will give ND credit for tough schedule but I don't see LSU, South Carolina, or Texas A&M on their schedule. ND solid on defense will see if they have enough offense to beat Oklahoma.

ND's offense has looked best on road/neutral site games this year. I'm not sure why, but if your an optimist you hope that carries over for the Irish this weekend. Maybe they've got a little something up there sleeve because the last few weeks they haven't shown anything.

If Stephon Tuitt and Irish Chocolate (Louis Nix) can pressure Jones, then I think ND has a legit shot. If not it could be a long day.

ND does not have the offense to keep up w/ the Sooners. Holding the Sooners to 21, w/ the amount of plays that they run, would be a small victory. Unfortunately, ND's O will struggle to put up 14.

This is a joke right? They've beat 3 average football teams. Oklahoma is the first "good" team they've played all season.

I believe ND can hold them to 21 (K-State held them to 19), but like you I am not seeing that possible if the defense is forced to stay on the field a tremendous amount.

It will be interesting to see how Notre Dame's defense matches up against an "explosive" offense. While Michigan has a good running quarterback and Miami has some big-play tendencies, no one Notre Dame has played really has a full assortment of plays/players that can score at any time. I think the Irish defense is very strong, but can they handle a relentless attack from Oklahoma?

On offense, Notre Dame has looked as good as they have had to. Oklahoma is great defensively; can Notre Dame muster up enough points to win the ball game? Might the Notre Dame defense/special teams need to put a couple scores up to win the game?

This should be a very interesting ball game.
